Ick. I would then have to use my newly given Mod powers to mod YOU. How epic would THAT be? a Mod war. Cool. No pylons or anything - just bare knuckle editing.

Looks like a German FlaK 88. Very fine weapon, tore our tanks to bits, but not man-portable.

I'll side with this other fine German firearm:
2005 Chevy Silverado Z71 Crew Cab, LM7 4L60E (What I traded my Kappa for. I regret nothing.)
2012 Chevy Camaro 2SS RS LS3 TR6060.
2021 Ram 2500 Cummins
2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. 3.6, manual trans.

I've been trying to find valid information on this tire, without much luck.  Vredestein has a lot of marketing hype on the web that sounds pretty good.  Other than that, I could only find "survey" information that compiles the average scores of random people who added data to a web survey.

I'm interested in these tires, but it sure would be nice to find a professional analysis that objectively compares them with competing tires.

Rufus:

The tires are not marketed much in the US and therefore not much is said about them.  Try going to a European site on tires, you may find more info there.  My only knowledge is from a few 911, 930 drivers who swear by them.

Of course they are marketed in the US. Do we need to list a bunch of stateside retail sites?

Thanks, Frank.  I found several German sites with tests on the Vredsteins.  I ran the sites through translation software as I don't speak German.  The consensus seemed to be that the Vredsteins are great wet weather tires and very quiet, but only okay as a performance tire.  They mentioned rollover during high-g cornering.  Assuming the translation was correct, they were ranked as "adequate" sports car tires.

At this point I'm leaning toward the Direzza Star Specs.  I'll lose some treadwear and gain noise, but the Direzzas get consistently high marks from many sources.
