Looking for a spare set of calipers - F/R. If you've done an upgrade and need to find a new home for your leftover OEM parts let me know. Thanks.

Contact Joe (Deepbluegxp) or DDM.  They replaced bunches of them at the last mod meet.  I do not remember who kept the old ones but all were in good shape.

Dave from DDM should have my old calipers from when they changed them at the meet.

Hey. Not fair! I didn't post this so someone else could snag them out from under me!!! Yeah, I know, it's not his fault he read Joe's reply before I did. Joe, if you still have any of them left PM me with price. I need 1 pr ASAP, 2 would be better but not as critical as 1. Thanks.

I'll check my inventory but I want to keep a set for myself.  So if I only have 2, Rogue will get the other since he started this thread about wanting a set.

LG might suggest "on Martin and as deep as possible." :poke:

As long as those "deep cuts" aren't on the calipers. You know they have to be pretty if I'm going to put them on Rogue or GXPsy!

May I ask if there is anything wrong with the old ones? I'm thinkin' that you are gonna get the ones that you buy powder coated so you can sway them out.

Close?

I'll be using a premium automotive paint. Multiple steps to insure good adhesion and long life. Powder coating is a good option also, but not my current plan. Either way it's a LOT easier to do this kind of work off the car, then just swap the newly finished ones for the originals. To make bleeding easier I always install Speedbleeders - www.speedbleeder.com.

I want to thank everyone who has responded. It appears as though I've been able to source the front calipers through Joe, aka DeepBlueGXP. The rear calipers are a lot tougher to locate - napaonline or a wrecking yard. Again, thanks for all the suggestions and help.

Don't tell the Miss's I said this but don't you, I mean she, have a parts car that you might be able to barrow something off of?

"What do you mean if feels like you have no rear brakes? Who would steal your brakes?" :idk:

Anyone know what other GM cars might use the same brake parts?

The Chevrolet Malibu and HHR use the same front calipers as the Sosltice and Sky. I haven't been able to cross reference the rear calipers...yet.

The Miss's still peruses this site when she gets a chance & now I know who to blame if GXPsy's brake calipers go "missing"   :poke:   :D

Rogue, what the hell man?  I told you don't tell her.

I guess I didn't say don't let her read what I wrote, mental note.  Anyway it was phrased as a question not a recommendation.  I think I might need a scape goat here but the closest that we have is going to have to be one of these. :goat:

Rogue if you do "barrow some parts" you had better return them really quick before I get in trouble.

Too late. Pat, errrrr GXPsy Rose has already put me on notice...and she knows who to blame. At least I have a good scapegoat.  :poke:

OK, now on a more serious note, efforts to cross reference parts usage is a slow process. I did find that the rear calipers are also used on the Saab 9-3. Perhaps we could start a thread with cross reference parts? I know a lot of the Kappa parts are straight from the GM parts bins, and a running list of the other makes/models using them could make life a lot easier in the future. Thoughts?

For once I actually think I might be Lucky I don't live near the rest of you, I mean if you do barrow something its not very likely she will drive GXPsy out here to where I live.  Especially if you barrow something important.

I think its a great idea to try and identify what other cars use the same components as our Kappa's.  We already have a pretty good list on the door handles.
