Dave, do you think you can take a straight side profile picture of the car? Just curious to see how it looks.

Yes, I will get some more pictures soon. The production Solstice fenders are here and have been prepped, primed already, they are just waiting to be painted which looks like it may happen this weekend. Once they are painted we are going to get some more pictures out there and will start taking orders at that point also.

Thanks!
Dave

Maybe it's a usable sunvisor & hinge?  One that can actually pivot a full 180 degrees?

There's an easy fix to this. Add a few washers to the screw to space the visor away from the frame. An inexpensive fix to a problem.

Not sure I understand this.  With mine the hinge has a firm stop at 90 degrees open.  Spacing it away would not help. ??  Maybe the Sky's or Opel's are different?

EDIT: Nevermind.  I checked again, the visors do go past the 90 degree point, I just never put enough effort in to do it!  So I guess the spacer idea would work - albeit it a bit ugly.  Sorry to have doubted you (slaps self on back of head).

You will not see the spacers/ washers. Place them between the visor frame and the frame of the windshield surround. I'm thinking another 1/8" to 3/16" should do it. It may require getting a longer black oxide screw.

VERY looking forward to see what DDM has done with the Solstice fenders, a little flair and functionality would go a long way...

Finally was able to get the car outside for some pictures of the fender on the car installed, came out very nice.

The fenders are $200 a piece, so $400 for both the drivers and passengers. We put them directly onto Randy's car without any modification of the production pieces or any real fitting and they line up really good. However, we would recommend that you have these professionally fitted by the person that is going to be painting them before installation for the best fit possible. The reason for this is that these fenders are made from fiberglass which is thicker than the steel that the stock fenders are made from, so a little bit of fitment is suggested. Otherwise all of the holes are in the fenders for the stock mounting of the rubber hood stops, the fender liner retainers and mounting locations. We designed these to look good with a stock car or heavily modified car. To order:

Call us at 864-907-6004 or we will have the webpage up for these and you can order online.

Thanks!
Dave

After seeing these pics, I'm not as excited as I was when the first poll pics were posted. They are still the best ones that I've seen available but I liked the earlier renditions better.

Dave,

I see that there is a hole in the fender for air, can you tell me where it will be scavenging the air from?  Is it the wheel well or the engine bay?  Thanks!

DBG,
Could your turn signal mod be "modded" to work with this fender?  I would think a nice LED strip would work well?

I like them.  I think the height of the scoop is to short and the radius/compound curve on the front end is a bit too round.  The price is great.

I really wanted to vent the wheel well, but on a street car you can end up throwing a lot of debris down the side of the car, so we instead chose to vent the engine bay.

regardless on the size of the opening, any 12v LED strtip can be added to the turnsignal circuit.  It's just up to your imagination.  The turn signal wire is blue, pick up a ground anywhere.
