PUTCO Headlight bulb issues
« on: September 28, 2009, 12:08:34 PM »
This has probably been covered a million times but I can't find it.

when it is dark and I click the unlock button the headlights come on, well the left one does but not the right.
When I start the car they both work on auto, probably on manual as well.

Is there another set of fuses for the lights in the unlock feature, I know there is for DLR, but I don't have that feature with the headlights just turn signals.

I'm not sure about the Solstice, but on my Sky it's the Hi Beams that come on with the Unlock feature. Maybe you have a burned out Hi Beam.

I just discovered on my way home last night that my Putco hi-beams are out on both sides.

So did the deer in the road.  She appreciated me not totally blinding her.

So what's the P/N on the Silverstars?

If both went out, you sure its not a fuse?

There are individual fuses for each hi beam.  I checked mine.

Ben, the package was marked H13(9008)ST

Hmmm.  Good point.  Let me check.  It was disconcerting to see the ghostly outline of the deer vaguely far ahead, filp them on, and have everything go black.  Don't want to repeat that experience.

Can I push my luck and ask which fuse numbers they are?  If yez know off the top of yer head.  I can look it up if not.

Sorry don't remember, but they are well marked in the cover.  I can tell you were they are tho.

As you are leaning over the right wheel the corner closet to the engine and fire wall, there are a cluster of 10 amp fuses nestled in among the relays.  They are in that group.  66-67 maybe.  Each light has two fuses, one for low and one for high
