Tranmission Fluid Capacity

I know the capacity of the manual trans is 2.75 qts, what would happen if i decided to put 3 or 4 qts in? Would the gears slip?

There was a lot more than that in mine, I went by that and it was not enough I had to go get more, I am pretty sure it was at least 4 I put in.

Overfilling a transmission can cause problems. Be sure that you follow the manufacturers instructions when it comes to filling it.

I wouldn't risk it as you could easily void any warranties that you have left by overfilling.
Just trying to do my part...

Mods: Lose the chicklets, VentureShield, Dual horns, AfterShock spoiler, Weathershield cover, Lil Chromies, Red calipers with black Solstice stickers, Opel GT antenna and Solo GXP-RCD exhaust with a Solo hi-flow cat!
