Easy now.  Looks like we may have "The Situation" developing on our forum, "Jersey Shore" style!

What a revoltin' development that would be!

How come there's no :fisticuffs: emoticon?  Mind you, I bet Bobby (Lil Indian) could create something from a string of ones that already exist!

They were fantastic in the snow.  May have a chance to test the tires again this weekend.

HA! Most of the people on the Jersey Shore show aren't from Jersey at all!

Anyway... you can get winter tires that will give you the best traction in colder temperatures on dry pavement. Instead of driving all seasons all year round.

Actually there is a Discount Tire Direct advertizement right now that says this "safer below 45 degrees than all season tires"  lol

Uh huh.  SO what planet ARE they from then?  Here's one who definitely is . . .

Sammi "Sweetheart"
22 - Hazlet, NJ

Sammi has been a serial dater all her life, but she's now single and loves every minute of it.

Her friends call her a sweetheart, but when it comes to guys she is a heartbreaker. Just ask Mike and Ronnie.

Ben L,

I just lost all respect for you.  You will now have to start all over.  You should have all 1052 posts removed from your record, and return to rookie status.

Very disheartening.  I thought you were a genius until right now.

Whatever.  If its any consolation, I have never watched it and never will, as I think it is a harbinger of the coming of the Apocalypse.  But I can find sh*t on the Interwebz as well as the next guy.

OK, so, back to the topic...

I'm about to pull the trigger on these.  Discount Tire has them for $620 (for 4) w/incl shipping, TireRack is $647 incl ship, so no-brainer there.

So - should anyone have any just cause (etc) please speak now or for ever hold your pieces.

Thanks
Mark

Now I just have to find a decent place to get them mounted.

Got the new tires dropped this morning.  Ben calling around for mounting and the better places are charging $40/tire to mount & balance.  Ouch!  Merchants is $28/tire but if I go there I'll take the wheels off myself and just drop them off (problem, can only fit 2 wheels and tires at a time into my daughters civic :( )

$40? Yikes! Cost me $18/tire to get mine done. If you live in SOMD Curtis Tire is THE place. Shop front might not look like like much but they do really good work.

My sumi's where great as  long as boost didn't touch 1 lb for the first 5 miles, and 6-8  lbs for the remainder of the trip.   Otherwise I might as well have been on ice.   Of course summer tires aren't made for 16 degree days

Quite pleased with my tires as well. My street was still covered this morning. These cars are really quite well mannered in the snow, near 50-50 weight distribution is a huge bonus. I'll take 50/50 RWD over 70/30 FWD any day.

I know I rag on the GM dealer alot but they only charge $25 per wheel to mount & balance (on the car) even if you buy the tires somewhere else. Used to be $20 but recently went up, still not bad & at least they get the balance right.
