Put in my new braille battery, made a sturdy mount to keep it in place & had ample room for my big honkin old style deep throated & loud horn.

bronze?  I'm not sure what that sounds odd... I'm trying to picture it on the car, but can't seem to.  I have a set of wheels I am debating what to do with as well and also have a "deep" Sol.  I've got the brown top, how bout you?  I am leaning towards graphite (like what SOB painted his spares a while back) or black.  Do you have a photo of the color you are thinking?

Found that if the back end steps out just closed the throttle to straighten it up. Works great in snow and I'm sure will work in the wet. This chassis is short and wide and responds well to no throttle rather than trying to steer into a slight yaw.

I might do the graphite (gunmetal) but a bronze would be different. The wheel isn't really in your face anyway as the spokes are narrow. I have the Deep car with the black top.

Here's the Gunmetal

And here's the bronze. That's not exactly the colour but along those lines. Black lug nuts I'm thinkin'. Was gonna do blue lug nuts but I don't know that I'll like it.

Opinions?

Not really any room for a stripe on the Ultraleggeras. I was thinking of doing the raised lettering in the wheels in the blue body colour. My powdercoater has a metallic blue that matches the car exactly.

SlyBob,

Ok, those are beautiful.  I had in mind the gold on the Subaru STI.  Bright, shiny bronze color, not this.  I like this alot.  I would love to see these near / on a deep car.  I like the fact that they are close to the color of the top.  Pulls everything together for me.  I'm looking forward to your test project.  If you go graphite, I don't think you can go wrong.  I love the look of the dark grey wheels on a dark body color.  Also like the graphite on white, but not so much on other colors.

As for Critter:
go white GJ

Ah, no.  I dont think so.  Plus, why you got to be so racist?

Thanks, I'm just not sure about the bronze with the black top. Ok I suppose the black would go with pretty well anything. As I said before, with the thin spoke the colour isn't going to be overpowering anyway.

Not sure about the bronze but the gunmetal is pretty cool. Yeah, maybe those bronze wheels should have stayed on the Lotus Elise. :D  Introducing another colour on the car might not be a good idea...

Sly Bob, i suggest gun metal wheels and also add gun metal vinyl to all the chromes (windshield, handles and the tulip panel)

i think it is pretty obvious which one i like.. lol

I was comparing on the computer and wanted a better view.  Got to love when things work together...  bigger image to help decide may help.  In the large view, I like the way the bronze wheels go with the architecture in the background of the photo...

Pardon the slightly off topic post but...I started her, "Miss Red Eagle" after removing the white sheets!!!  I do it about every two weeks.  Ah, it felt awesome to sit in her again!!!  As always,  I listen to the song "Hotel California" by "The Eagles".  My favorite group and song.  I always check the mileage, yes, it was still on 18,472 and has been all winter.  Man it was sweet.  She lights me up every time I sit in the cockpit, just like when I used to fly.  I have always liked the dash in our Kappa's, uh, I think of Christmas every time she lights up.  And, yes she still feels just like she did back on December 27th, 2007 when driven home.  What a sweet day!

We are getting ready to head over to a party at friends for the super bowl, ya all have a great day, hope your team wins.

Adios, Amigos...

Ron and "Miss Red Eagle"!  :usa: :urock:   :drive:
