I finally installed dual oil catch cans. I needed to build a mount for the cans and I kept the check value in place. I ran some clear hose from the drains on the bottom to down behind the front bumper for easier draining. I'll let everyone know how much oil I get in both cans.
Assuming that you've kept the two piping end points the same and just inserted the OCCs inline (difficult to see from the photo) and since you've kept the check valve there, you should never get any oil in that left can unless the check valve fails.  With the check valve in place, it's an an engine air-intake only.

You should never get oil in the second one either, since there's a baffle set in the valve cover that (should) act as an oil catch can itself.

Be interesting to see what actually happens though.  I've been struggling about the need for an OCC myself and pretty much decided just to put a clear fuel filter in line with the check valve.  If that shows oil, then I (in theory) know that the valve has failed and can replace it.

One question, what did you use to connect into the push-on fitting on the end of the factory pipe?

Yes I put the occ's inline, the rear crankcase connection runs to an occ and to the intake just after the maf. The front crankcase connection runs to an occ and to the intake right at the turbo.  Here's the pic again (as it's on the previous page).

I agree, I hope there is never any oil in the the left can (or the right for that matter) due to the one way check valve. I suspect the engine oil may have been overfilled or the check-valve failed in the past though as I found oil residue near this port inside the intake pipe.  I installed the 2 can's more of an experiment and thought I could share the findings here.

For the push on fittings I called a few parts stores to ask about 3/8" gas lines with quick disconnect ends, and ended up buying a Double Bead Line 12" x 3/8" from napa (part num is 730-4931). As I only needed on quick connector on each side I cut the line to length with a small pipe cutter (for copper pipe etc) and used one side to connect to each of the stock lines.

Excellent and helpful info.  Thanks!

thought about installing the hide-a-way front plate, still thinkin' on it. Hard to swallow any plate on the front, but tired of being harassed by the MN, IL, and lately WI cops.

B.S. or jack@$$
take your pick
:D

Elff I know this makes sense to you but I didn't understand that one when I moved here either.

Arabas... to translate Elff's American into English to be translated into Greek. In American a jackass (donkey) is used to refer to someone that is acting stupid.  So next time Kelu says something you don't agree with, no need to argue, just put :donkey: it speaks volumes.

I keep forgetting about the translation.
These guys type better english than people who live in the USA so I forget that they might not get our slang or jokes.
