Graywolf :I have the Schroth 6 pt harness installed in my car with the twist center release. It is is very fast to get out of and cannot be the reason for it not being legal. I suspect that maybe a rescuer may not know that you twist it instead of push it.

A rescuer is not goint to even try to unfasten your belts, he (or she) is going to cut them.

The reason your 6-pt harness is illegal on the street is because it has not been submitted for testing.

It is illegal for SCCA (or other) competition because you can not safely put a harness in a car without a roll bar.

Hey guys. FYI driving to and from the mod meet, 5 hours was not bad at all in these seats. they are a very comfortable shape. but the hard bottom makes you butt go a little bit numb, but really just a tiny bit. didn't really bother me at all.

you can always add more padding.

Oh also allegedly the passenger side seat mounting bolts are NOT the exact same size across from each other as the driver's side. so look into that before doing your own install.

Jrinky My 6 point harness is scca legal because it is attached to a roll bar and that is a excellent point for others that might want to put this type of harness in their car. See my pics in gallery Graywolf P.S Good job on the kirby seat install

kenny, is that bar under the seat on the sliders the only thing keeping you from being able to lower the seat more, and if so does it serve a purpose with the new seats in?

Graywolf, Nice looking roll bar. The fore-aft braces appear to be lower than the required "top one-third" of the main hoop, but it is difficult to tell from the picture. How close are they to the one-third point ?

Yeah the handle is in the way of making the seat lower. But you wouldn't want to rock the front forward anymore. If anything I might wanna rock it backwards one notch.

I need the handle to move back and forth. If I didn't want to do that, I wouldn't have used rails at all and just solid mounted the seats.

I've been trying for a while to try to get the passenger seat airbag to be on all the time by somehow squeezing the thing.

I can roll it up and squeeze it with my hands and it will work, but for some reason even with a big c clamp I could not get it to activate.

So I decided to try to just put it into the seat. I was worried about the ribbon and box getting in the way. The box is pretty big.

I found a way to do it by putting the box under the seat between the harness strap and the seat, so the harness actually is holding the box against the seat in place.

Worked out great and now it works like stock!
