The sickness has seriously spread.  I have dropped more money into this car doing mods than any other car I have owned in a long, long time.  She will be a looker when totally complete. Pretty sure as long as we can keep parts coming, I will keep her for a very long time.

At least longer than my ex...

CT_Solstice, there was an old thread way back about "the sickness" and it sounds like you have all the signs of indeed having it in great abundance.  It is one sickness that is fun to have. :yay:  Enjoy the ride and all the mods you can handle along the way!   :usa:

I really "love" this sickness. It is enjoyable to "pine" over something that is willing to give you so much back without all the "drama"...

My girl is white, which in itself is a challenge to keep clean. I always did like a challenge.

The greatest thing about the sickness is the support of the "forums" and all the other Kapp-fanatics.

I wanted one of these cars from their release date but due to "personal" reasons was unable to get one. Now that my "Personal" reasons are gone... I have my new mistress and spending all my time and money on her... LOL

Juat found "her" production date 03/07... She wasn't sold until 11/07 to her first owner who kept her under a cover during bad weather... (yes, I still have a portion of the factory warantee left on her) Now the new challenge is to get her back to pristine and enjoy a summer topless on the beach.

Ah, the simple things in life.

Today will be day 2 of detailing... I will take pictures a little later to see if I can get her up on the site. Problem is my computer at home is dead, so I have to send it to a military computer... Not too sure if that is a good idea.

First of all, I thought it would be rather interesting to go find my VERY FIRST POST/THREAD in the Welcome Section for my 1000th post. I wanted to remember where I started on this journey with all of you, so that I can appreciate all that I have learned.

Reaching Gearhead Status is an interesting feeling! First of all I remember around December when I reached my one year anniversary on the KP that I was only at post 767. Ironically, the Hull number for my first submarine. I figured I would not reach Gearhead until at least the SMMM8.

In keeping with proper KP Forum tradition I would like to thank some very important people around here.

Thank you to Joe Barton and the entire Barton Family, you are the most generous and kind people I know! You give so much to our community, asking for nothing in return. You always seem to be available, no matter what is going on in your own personal life. WE are all better people for meeting and knowing you.

Critter, 1LILNDN, Helios, GJ/BG, Spiky, SA, TS, Susan, Karen, Kelu, Arabas, SKY888, and the rest of the "regulars", you guys make life worth living. There is never a dull moment on the forum. Always something new going on, or at least a good derailment.  I owe a lot to a lot of people here. Some for their mod ideas (TS/DBG), and to many more just your faithful companionship thru this journey we call "life".  Lindsey is a much better car for all your wisdom and input.

So here is to the future!!! :ghug:  Hopefully in the not to near future, Lindsey with be Super-Charged (TEAM DDM 2011?), and a little higher (Z0K Springs), with a slightly better sound (SQR-2 Exhaust), and even possibly a halo (I still love DBG halos). Lindsey is an angel afterall!!! THANK YOU to each and everyone of you!!! If you took the time to read this long winded thread, THANK YOU even more, that means that you really do have "the sickness" because you thought there would be something really profound at the end.
