IB,
I don't know what to say to the donkey...

As for the chrome ring- work slowly.  Start at the front, near the radio with a really fine time flat head and an old credit card.  Use the card to protect the plastic and slide under.  Once you start to pry, fingers will do the rest.

The radio can stay in, but I recommend taking it out so you can get you hand in the space behind it to fiddle with the wires, assuming you are mounting the switches in the dash.  Some good pointers and photos in the first few pages of this thread.

I am on vacation (if you can call the in laws a vacation....) so if you need to call, go for it.  I just did mine a few weeks ago, so it's fresh in my head.  PM me if you want.

Thanks GJ I pulled the seats out and part of the boomerhang is just kinda hanging in place since I didnt want to break the chrome ring. It looks like the radio is attached to the boomerrang am I correct on this. Is there a trick to undoing the plugs on the back of the ac controls.

For some reason my radio was attached to the boomerrang which is odd. I got that out and the chrome ring off, now just have to figure out these damn plugs...

Finally finshed kinda, still have to go buy some xmas plugs since I broke the ones on the seat. Also instead of cutting it out on the passenger side, I decided The only thing I dont like is that it takes a little bit for it to heat up. Pics coming tommorow.

Their are 2 holes where these push pins go into on each side of the seat.

Here is where I have the plugs coming out of.
