The timing could not be worse. PITP for this year has just been tentatively scheduled for April 30, May 1, and May 2. The plans call for open competiton (all makes) Fri and Sat with Sunday exclusively Pontiac. Bummer! :gaah: :banghead: :gaah:

Pontiacs in the Park is a weekend of shows, venders, and racing at Virginia Motorsports Park just outside Petersburg, VA. Includes drag racing and autocross. DBG really likes the show events...he cleaned up bigtime last year. Actually, GXPsy and I did OK too. We even got some coverage (and photos) in Pontiac Performance magazine. Last year was our first trip to the event, and now that we're not newbies we expected to be far better prepared for this year. Dang it!

Hey, all you Sky owners...just tell the gate keeper you have a Pontiac motor in your car and they'll let you in. Or, you could just show up as spectators....

What fun is spectating? If I were to show up I'd want to race!

Yeah, racing season can't come soon enough...

PITP is the place I was kicked off the track since it was NHRA and anything convertible below 13.99 you have to full roll cage.  They had a Solstice class and since stock usually ran 14.5, they didn't expect me to run 13.4.   I was the only Solstice drag racing.

Of course, we could all leave the Mod Meet early Sunday AM and drive to Petersburg for the day. Joe...if they're still NHRA you could just download your tune into Dee's coupe....
