billet cupholder websale on thehoffmangroup.com - [EDIT - P.O.S]
« on: February 18, 2010, 08:07:03 AM »
Good morning.  I think I remember someone on the forum was going to order one of these to see if it fits but I can't find the post again.  Anyway, currently $69....

Yes, I got it.  Total Piece of cr*p and totally false advertising (see the other "billet" thread).  (Go on, ask me what I really think!)

See details and photos here: supposedly 'billet' cupholder
I managed to RMA it, but was out the shipping in both directions.  :gaah:

Yeah there clueless.
Talked to them via live chat and at first cameback saying that it's listed as Billet Style. I stated that the final link says polished chrome NOT Billet but also doesn't mention plastic but the link for cup holders shows BILLET CUP HOLDER. So I showed them the link for cup holder where it stated BILLET CUP HOLDER and they reply back BILLET or Not it's still a nice piece.  I said False Advertisement has your company every heard of that?  They said they have there advertising Dept look at the listing we'll see if that happens.

LOL.  Glad I asked first.  Thanks for the warning.  And it looks so good in the picture.  Well, looks like I am back to a higher priced fix when mine fails.  Thanks guys. :drive:

If a deal looks too good to be true, it usually is. Often spending a little more once is cheaper than spending a little less twice.

The stock holder I have was getting really hard to close, so last night I coated the inner circle part with a thin layer of silicone and exercised it. It closes much easier now, still has that spot where it seems to get stuck, just not as bad now.
