I am used to race cars and prefer double the spring rate even on the street.

If you think springs in the 200 and something range are stiff, you';d hate the 950 lb. springs I run on one of the race cars....(totally different chassis and appropriate for that use on that chassis).

BTW, congratulations on setting the shocks conservatively. I have seen SO many people get new shocks and set them far too hard right off the bat!

Nothing I said indicated I thought my springs are stiff or not or too stiff or that I was cooler than someone for having the stiffest shocks. I was just saying that I feel that GM didn't tune the car for comfort.

Thank you for the compliment about my shock settings. I haven't even played with them yet, gotta get on a skidpad.

Just a guess on my part but I would say it's the total force the spring can take before coil binding or damage happens.

I found my answer on the bb.

350 N/37N/mm = 9.46mm = .37 inches, or about 3/8ths of an inch lower than stock, right?
