What color is our boomerang?
« on: April 23, 2010, 08:09:53 PM »
I'm installing a new radio at the mod meet and I'm thinking that if I don't like the look of the black trim around the radio that generally comes with the install kit I would paint it the same colour as the boomerang so it would match. What colour IS the boomerang anyway?

If I were to paint it I would want to get a mat finish but the colour code would be a place to start. We'll see what the black piece looks like after the install is done.
Just trying to do my part...

You can always go to a paint shop and have them scan it to find the proper matching color.

The install frame matches the radio so it won't stick out like a sore thumb.

That's good to hear, thanks Joe. That's what I was worried about as I have seen that before. If fact the aftermarket radio in another car that I own has a trim ring that doesn't match ANYTHING!  :(

That's what I did and the radio still looks great!

Shoot JPM a PM about pricing for that.  I am not sure of the exact price, as I had it done at the mod meet and they always give us great pricing at those meets.
