OEM GXP Exhaust for free... Temecula, CA
« on: May 04, 2010, 10:44:22 PM »
If you're in southern California and need a stock exhaust off of a 2009 GXP I've got what you need.  I put about 1,000 miles on it before switching to Solo.  I live in Temecula, so if you want it come and get it.  If no takers then I'll have to junk it (takes up to much space).

If no takers please consider shipping to Detroit at my expense. Maybe I can afford the payments...

GJ,
Good to go.  I have to take it to the FEDEX facility tomorrow to see if they'll be able to box it and the price to ship to Perris in New York.  If he or Scanner does not want to pay the shipping I'll be more than happy to bring it to work and give it to you.

Sounds good.  Like I said, if all else fails...

What do you have going on Sunday morning?  Feel like a cruise thru the hills?

Sounds good but I have to take the kids to the Long Beach Aquarium.  I'm going to try and get to the C&C that is going on Sat, hopefully...  Have you been up to one of them?  It's just pretty early to get up in order to make it over there :)

Ok, a little FYI for everyone.  You can't ship the stock exhaust for a reasonable price.  Took the exhaust to FedEx today and they stated it would be considered a freight shipment due to the length (approx 102").  Asked how much it would be to ship from CA to NY....$1,432.20.  I almost hit the floor.

Scanner, I did not check the price to MI but I'm assuming it would still cost more than what you could get it from the dealership.

GJ, if you're still interested just let me know when and where you want to meet up.  I work on the air station at Pendleton but usually go over to the mainside gym, so either place will work for me.

Thanks everyone.

esky,
Where are you coming from?  I live in Temecula so I'll take the Ortega canyon road across.  I'm still hoping to make it in the morning but I have been known to hit the snooze button a few times, especially at 4:30am :)

Bummer!  Can't do Saturday AM.  Keep me posted when you two are looking to go for the next one and I will try to meet up with you!

As for the exhaust, I can be up there Wed or Thur next week, so what ever works for you.  Our contract is with 1st MLG, so I hit 14 area, 21 area, 22 area and 43 area, or just about any where in between.  When we figure out a day, I'll PM you my phone number and we can figure it out.  Looking forward to meeting you both!

Just remember to Lube the holes well and it can be a One "man" job . Removing the rear valance makes it easy  by taking it out of the rear hanger loops then disconnecting flange you can lower to ground then take other loops loose. Done  and do install in reverse.    ;)    Peice of cake
