Ceramic rotors?
« on: July 06, 2010, 09:29:08 PM »
I was admiring my friend's new ZR1 today and really love the fact that the ceramic rotors on the car and whatever pads are there stock throw absolutely no brake dust what-so-ever.

Now I must seek something similar.  Anyone know anything?

You could use ceramic pads if they make them for the Solstice.  I have them on my trucks and they throw very little dust.

have heard not great reviews of the ceramic pads... was looking at them a while back.  I think Kenny had a set on, he might be a good resource.

Mine were crap ceramic pads from Autozone and they were miserable. If you want good ceramics you can get something like what they put on Ferraris and crap. Carbon Ceramic.

Ceramic pads are not good for track use as most clubs hosting high speed events.

Ceramic rotors are a different story and would cost about half the value of your car right now.  :)
