You fill the tank and the car won't start!

Open the gas cap, put it back. Try now. It might take longer to crank and when it does turn over you may have to push the gas a lot to get it to stay going, but it should get going.

To fix it you need to change change the EVAP system purge valve solenoid.

It's about $30 bucks from a dealer. Here is the part info:

Manufacturer: AC Delco
214-2125 - Evaporator Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve

Cross Reference for GM Part Number: 12592015
Supersedes AC Delco #214-1473

It looks like this:

This is where it goes (cobalt engine bay, but it is identical on the 2.0)

Really easy to install. Pop off the top two connections. Then take out the bolt with 10mm socket. Put a dab of lubricant on the O Ring. Pop it in. Done.

I didn't have trouble with mine starting but when they were troubleshooting my IC issue they replaced my sensor too.  Maybe we got a bad batch of sensors.

They called it the fuel tank pressure sensor.  Hope that helps.

Kenny, IIRC tha same codes occured on a totally stock GT of a friend of mine.
we were on the phone while he was at the dealer and i was searching the codes for him.
unfortunately he didn t have a good knowledge of the parts, but, again IIRC, the dealership told him they replaced the fuel tank pressure sensor (as Brazen17 said) and the purge solenoid valve and his problem dissapeared.
his car would go into limp mode when on WOT.

I think mine may have or had that problem.

To be honest I'm not sure mine was really bad.  They pulled a code for the sensor and replaced it but my IC was bad at the same time.  I think maybe the IC was the only "real" problem I had.
