Great run Bod[/color].

Bod
That could either be Bud or Bob, or a special combination of key strokes to mean Bud Bob.

or just loosy typing

Sorry Tree / Crit,

I missed it.  Critter has said many things about bods, so I glazed right over it.

Nice job BOB.  Seems as though the AX bug has bit you hard.  Hope all the extra weight of the sound deadener isn't slowing you too much!  Going to have to shed some pounds some where else to make up for it.  Perhaps some aftermarket wheels?

Nah.... I'm doing it for fun.  My competition is really myself.  The only thing I am going to change specifically with autocross in mind is the alignment - and even then will keep my primary twisty driving purpose in buying the car in mind.  Plan to replace the stock tires with winters and summers but was going to do that anyway.

If I wanted to throw money and time (and had both available) into competitive racing, I would buy a dedicated car and go road racing.

I'll be there.  I had a great day last Saturday with CDC at Bowie.  Took second overall (raw time).  Larry Casey designed the course (and will be designing the Harry Grove event course).

There was a fast straight leading to a sharp right hander in the middle of the course, and my Daytona came very close to picking up both inside wheels!

Here's the in-car of that run:

And here are the results:

Hope to see some Sols out there next weekend!

I'm working this weekend, so I had better be able to get next weekend off. Hopefully that means that I'll be able to make it up there.

So, Scott, I am leaning more towards autocross and less towards Sunday cruise.

Smartin -- Its one of the better venues for spectating.  There is a nice grassy hill with pine trees for shade overlooking the lot.

And even if you do not want to compete, the Test 'N Tune on Sunday is a great way to test your car and driving skills at the limit.  Tons of runs, and, although they are timed, no official score is kept.

Car swapping and ride alongs are encouraged on T'nT days.

Thanks, Ben! Sounds like a good time. I can't make the T'nT but I might try to make it Saturday.

Are they replacing your hood or just fixing it? If they are replacing it, does that mean that Solstice hoods are available but not Sky hoods?

Appears so, SHiNY.  Going to swing by today just to see it with my own eyes.  Though it appears they had to find it in some dealer's stock as opposed to ordering it.  It was on backorder.  So I'm not sure how "available" that makes it.  Might have just gotten lucky.  I just hope they've unpacked it already to be sure it didn't get damaged in shipping like the first one (or three) your bodyshop received.

Stopped by and made sure they had unpacked it to check for damage.  They said there's a chip out of the primer (comes pre-primed with some eco-greenie crap), but that's easy to fix.  Dropping it off first thing tomorrow morning.
