Where is the best spot to wire into the existing dash lighting so my gauges will be controled the same and by dimming the dash lights ??

Most people just put a fuse tap to the BCM #18 so that power is on when the engine is.  It's a ACC circuit.   The only other way is to tap into the back of the dash light switch on the dash
