Topic: 08 GXP stock rims

Hope somebody can help me out. I need to know what the stock rims were on the 08 gxp. A code would be great if they had one. I am in Canada and my car was imported from the US through a local dealer. It came with the mb093 rims and I need warranty work which was approved but when they ordered the replacement rim based on the vin # the stock rim arrived. So now I am doing some back tracking and the build sheet shows code QF8 18" polished aluminum which the dealer says is the stock rim. Can somebody help clear up the confusion or at least point me in the right direction?

The QF8 Polished Aluminum were the standard wheels on the 2008 GXP. The optional wheels were the PD5 Chromed Aluminum.  It was also possible to get the N87 Painted Aluminum with the Z0K Club Sport option.

The MB093 wheel was a Dealer Installed option over and above the standard or optional wheel and would not appear on the build sheet.  They are about $400 each with shipping:

I hope it helps you. I seriously doubt that these dealer installed wheels are covered under the standard warranty, but are probably covered under the standard parts warranty which is 12 months/12,000 miles in the US of A.  I don't know about Canada, though.  Good Luck!

Unless I can prove they were installed at delivery, you're right they aren't covered, same as in US.
Time to look for a good wheel shop who can fix pitting. It's only 1 rim with a couple of marks so I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

There is a GXP in my area that has those rims on it. Nice!

Ive got a complete set of stock chrome rims for an 08 GXP, USA that have only 200 miles on them and are in perfect condition. As perfect as you get with 200 miles. Been trying to sell them for some time and not one person wants them. They were cleaned, boxed and stored on my tire rack since 2008.

I like the look of these rims so much that I will hold on to them as long as possible.
