Planning ahead
« on: February 02, 2011, 01:19:42 PM »
Hello all

I've been doing alot of research on these cars lately and i plan on getting one in the summer of 2012.  right now I'm very interested in a 2008 redline in polar white w/ black top and interior.  the reason I'm planning ahead so far and doing my research is so that once i make my purchase (out right!)  i can do the much needed things to it such as, locktite hub bolts, relocate power steering fluid and change to redline, maybe install check valves in cooling system.  if i take care of these things right away it will give me piece of mind and allow me to proceed with performance mods.  i also need time to save up.  and who knows maybe i will be the future owner of one of your cars :idk:

its hard but i want to pay it off immediately so that my money can go towards playing.  i just hope you guys will still be around and active due to the car being discontinued I'm a little afraid of the community falling apart.

deepblue-  I've seen the post about the meet and i am very interested in attending just to get a good look at the cars and to meet some of you guys and get your incite.  knowing that there are so many enthusiasts locally is another big reason i am choosing this platform

Kelu always hits the new members with posting photos of their car and a smiley like this.  Since you don't own one yet, it doesn't apply.

Common, stop it until I find a "customer" at least. We both know that I will win but just don't tell everybody.

Summer of '12 ??  You sure you didn't mean Summer '11 ?

And I thought I was bad enough when I want a car and take my sweet time for research and to find one ...

Cool brakes on the Blazer.  I have the car the brakes came from ...

yes i mean 2012    but i might still be putting a bet in with kelu

and this was the first s-series with all four c6 zo6 brakes.  not sure if any others ever showed up.  no body wanted to drop the dough on them.  they all think that brakes are useless unless you have power.

Welcome to the forum. I waited almost 4 years and 1 wife before I got my first KAPPA. "We" will be here. Some of us are die hard owners and plan on keeping them until they are no longer. I am sure you will find exactly what you are looking for when the time is right for you.

As someone who used to belong to another orphan site for a long, long time, I think you'll find two types of people who frequent specific auto forums.  Group 1 types don't form an emotional attachment to the car or the people who like them.  And the group 2 types, who do formed emotional attachment to the car AND the folks who like them.

I believe the majority of folks who participate here fall into the 2nd category.

You should check out old goats GXP that is for sale.  He is pretty close to you and has already done almost all the mods you could want.  Except for maybe getting some sky parts on it and painting it white.
