Yamatr3's Body Kit Preview Pics
« on: January 31, 2009, 10:09:22 AM »
Well,  I have been hard at work on piecing together my Sol body Kit.  Many of you have already seen my old front fascia where I removed the fog/turn signals  (I will be selling this one incase anyone wants it).  I decided to change that to the GXP front Fascia like the Transformer car.  I have always had Norms side fenders, but decided to modify them a little by installing turn signals in them.  So today, I am going to post a preview pic.
Hopefully by next weekend, I will have the rest of the stuff mounted and can post more pics.

Just to sum up my kit, GXP front bumper with Norms front spoiler.  Norms side fenders, Gran Prix hood vents, Norms side skirts (modified to look more like the movie car), and an RK Sport rear wing.

Looking good and I am looking forward to the final product. Is the top picture on your opening post different than the bottom one?

No its not, somehow I doubled it up.  This week I have to finish fabricating the LED's for the turn signals in the fenders.  Once I have that done, I can install the fenders then the side skirts.  I can't  wait to get it done, I have been working on it for months.

I guess I could, but I didn't take enough pics along the way.  Here is a pic of the inside and how I mounted them.

VERY nice Yamatr3. You did an outstanding job on the mod to those fenders. If you have them hooked up the same way as the Joe's free turn signal mod that answers the question whether that mod will work with LEDs.

You are truly one-of-a-kind now.  This was a great idea...maybe Norm should think about having this as an option for the fenders and pre-drill the holes before painting the fender.

Yes, I did hook it up like Joe's turn signal mod so LED's will work.

Thanks for all the compliments!  It was well worth all the work.

Throw a resister in there and it will cure the rapid flash.  Very clean.  Excellent work.

I did not take any before pics.  Mine looked just like yours.  I modified them to look like this.  All I did was modify them slightly to more look like the Transformer car and the Hot Rod Car.  Norms are very triangle, mine are smaller triangles and mine actually have a scoop.  That was not said to knock Norm.  He had to make them they way he does so they will pull out of the mold.  Mine were hand revised, so no mold to pull them out of.

I know, but others out there may not.  I'll see if I have a pic to stick next to it.
