PLX guage problems
« on: February 01, 2009, 04:50:47 PM »
Hey guys just installed the DM5 PLX boost guage. It`s all powered up but for some reason I`m not getting any Boost reading on the guage, it stays at O.O,  the attached picture is where I spliced in for boost. Any suggestion?

I am not sure about this and someone else will surely correct me if I am wrong but, its possible that you tapped into the wrong side and the line you are pulling from is actually a reference line which will show ambient pressure and not boost pressure.  You could try to simply move your "T" to the other side of the factory sensor.

Have you tested out the gauge to make sure it was working to begin with?  Does it measure vacuum as well as boost?

I have the PLX-5 as well and it measures boost and vacum.  You might check with the guys at DDMWorks.

I checked with DDM works and Dave said it`s all hooked up right. I tryed a few things, pluging and unpluging connections and all of a sudden the guage started to work, go figure!

You had to have a loose connection somewhere, glad it is working for you.
