Sorry you gave me an idea and I went a completely different direction.

Yellow Livestrong wristbands have been ordered. Hopefully I receive them in time to bring them.

Guinness needs a special kegerator...it requires a nitrogen/CO2 mix instead of straight C02 like regular beer...right now the plan is to just buy it in bottles or cans and work the details out at the meet.

Back when I was a young-un in England, my Dad was a publican (not re-publican - he owned and ran a series of Pubs).  I remember that the Guinness kegs were all special builds, with a built-in pressure 'cylinder' as a ring around the top of the keg.  They don't do that here?

Just as an aside, whenever I was sick, he'd give me Guinness to drink for the vitamins!  Explains a lot I guess.

Not that I'm aware of, been contemplating a Guinness kegerator and all the kits I've seen have you running a seperate nitrogen tank.

And I'm familiar with the term publican...read so much British literature as a kid that I started spelling words like "armor" and "color" the wrong way. Actually, I'm currently working my way though Churchill's "The Second World War."

Errrr... I don't know how to tell you this but you're STILL spelling "armour" and "colour" wrong and I'd be willing to bet you spell "behaviour" and "endeavour" wrong as well.   :poke:

Just trying to do my part...

My favorite is actually "aluminium" - not only spelled different but spoken different as well.

Well when I first met her she did ask me to come "knock her up"

American translation:   Come by the house and knock on the door and visit for a while.

It looses something in translation :)

If I were to possibly make an appearance next weekend...

Would there still be beverage in the keg very late Friday night/Sat?  And if so, could I contribute?

Hopefully the Yak Queen will be laying low!
