Many thanks to Joe and Dee for another outstanding Mod Meet. Thanks to Joey for a great detailing job. Very grateful to GJ, Bobby and my son for the sound deadening. A much quieter ride home. And to Joe and others for fixing my muffler and removing the damaged parts on my car. And SlyBob for helping update my Kenwood.
Kelu it was a real treat meeting you. Thanks for the CD. I listened to it on the way home. It made the drive much nicer. Very good music, but they must have been singing in a foreign language. I couldn't understand a word.

Many thanks to Joe and Dee once again for being such amazing hosts.  Jocelyn and I had such a great time and it was fantastic meeting new people!!  Her and I are already looking forward to next year!!!  We got home around 10:30pm last night...and amazingly only hit about 15 minutes of traffic on the Staten Island Expressway...other than that, it was smooth sailing.  We even stopped in maryland on the way back for some Chic-Filet...my first experience.  Anyone who hasn't tried the banana cake shake there, you are missing out!!!  Thanks again to everyone...it's one of my favorite things to look forward to each year!

Doh!  I forgot to thank DickW for the gift of some stick-um.  Really big thanks, Dick, for the can.  Very useful stuff (to me) and I really appreciate it.  Thanks!

I would like to thank Joe, Joe Jr., Dee, and Tim for a wonderful weekend. Dee, it was a blast cooking the chicken with you, thanks!!! Joe, as always, you knowledge of the KAPPA is amazing, you were everywhere at once, and always the most gracious host. Joe Jr., thanks for fixing my mod "issues", your skills in soldering are amazing!

Susan, thanks for being my "scribe" for the Top Gear Challenge and someone to hang out with this weekend (and NO, I won't remove my shirt for the camera, LOL!). TS, for fixing my load resistor problem (I need to get a soldering kit like that). Excelsior for helping me with the grill lights, that was the longest 15 minute install ever. Treeman, for the "new" GXP exhaust, and for learning me on how to install a SOLO Mach Shorty Exhaust (don't forget to tighten the bolts after about 500 miles). Bobby, for teaching me everything last Mod Meet and being a great friend. Tammy, for just being you, girl I got your back! Critterman, for your sage advice and listening to me complain a little. Frictionfighter, you INSPIRE me with your project and your knowledge of cars. Kenny and Lindsey, for the L & L pics, and for letting me check out your car.

And GJ, SHiNY, Reed, and Critter for the Top Gear Challenge! It was the ride of my life and I will NEVER do that again, EVER!!! GJ, I hope you enjoy your new springs, and it was great to "work" with you again.

Mike, Ivy, and Dave at DDM Works, thanks for making everything I asked for and pointing me in the right direction when doing my mods (like loosening ALL the bolts first) and for just being you.  I look forward to our "improved" future project, I can hardly wait!!!

Most importantly, The Barton Family, you are the greatest asset to the KAPPA community. Your family is the best! BZ!

I wish I'd found that toilet paper earlier in the day.  Joe, good luck with the hand towel- I think you'll probably find it within the week.

The question is.. How much of it was left?

JOE - Thanks for the hospitality as always and for replacing my fog light switch. My dash was still a virgin.  :D

DEE - Thanks as always for your hospitality. It's very kind of you to do this and it's always nice to sit and chat with you.

TIM - Thanks for being you. You have turned into a fine young man. And thanks for the offer - if only I was younger. ;)

JOE JR - Thanks for the spot detailing on my Solstice. It looks great. Thank you. Everything else is :censor: :poke: ;)

TOM - Thanks for the brake light wiring and on/off switch. It passed the daughter test. Thanks to Marlboro Mike for the light strip. I shouldn't say MarlboroMike and strip in the same sentence

RIC - Thanks for the two Solstice model cars, Pontiac patch and pin, the shuttle launch picture and for taking the awesome pictures. You have become a wonderful friend to me and I appreciate it.

JEFF and PAT - You both ruled! You helped me, answered anything and everything I asked. You really supported the Bartons and everyone and went above and beyond. Big hugs for all your hard work and endless knowledge.

JEREMY - Great win! GO TEAM JEREMY! :yay: You know I respect you and think the world of you! Big hugs!

DICK W - Thank you for the Dash Hawk and for cracking us all up!

RANDY Dick's son - Thanks for making me smile and always boosting my ego!

SLY BOB - Thanks for wheel decals and clearing my codes and that's not a euphemism for anything.  :D

CHRIS Sly Bob's son - Thanks for applying my wheel decals with your young eyes and for helping Tom with the light install. You rock, eh!

MONICA - I love hanging out with you and that lil guy ELFF!

JOCELYN - You are so much fun to be around. Make sure to send me a picture I took of you on the swing. STEVE can thank me later. ;)

BIG SAL/BRYAN - Thanks for the great talk and all the sexual innuendos. Also, thanks for giving me permission to go back to the hotel.

CLINT/CAROLYN - Thanks for dropping by long enough to let me borrow your GXP and enter the raffle and win me something. Just kidding. I have a speaker for you the next time I see you.

ANDREW - Thanks for stopping by and letting me finally me meet your elusive wife, Claire. See you on the 5th and keep those jokes coming!

MARK - Thanks for the engraved cup! It looks awesome!

DDM - Thanks DAVE, IVY, and "shakin that ass" BURNS for the Probeam and the install. My rear is tighter for it!

JPM - Thanks JOE and ALEX for the center console. It also passed the daughter test. It looks gorgeous! And I also got to set SOLLI straight on the difference in the Solstice/Sky silhouettes.  :poke:

TAMMY - Thanks for being my roomie and my friend and for going on errands and for the Grand Marnier. I will never ever ever never room with you again! Just kidding! Keep copying me, it's the sincerest form of flattery! Love you girl!

JIM - Great seeing you! We need to get together and paint my calipers. Thanks for offering. And maybe install a horn.

I also learned a very valuable piece of information. My cat is under warranty for 8 years/80,000 miles. :yay:

EVERYONE else or ANYONE I forgot - Thanks for the food and the fun! I actually lost 5 pounds! WOOHOO!

LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT TIME!!!

These are both very good questions, but to answer the first, he was having back up sensors installed.

FYI Jim, this picture was taken BEFORE Joe Jr spot detailed it. He did it on Sunday after you were gone.

I noticed the name of your file. So I renamed the file. :D

Pretty good detailer, aren't I? ;)

Well, I have a very long list of thank you's from MMMMMMMMMM8.  I would start my own thread to do it, but that's just no necessary since there is a perfectly good thread right here for thank you's.

I would like to thank:

GJ for being dressed in all pink.
GJ for wearing everything he was given to wear
GJ for being of sound mind and spirit
GJ for not allowing the real meaning of a midnight swim to get lost
GJ for having great hair days
GJ for being allowed to drive Rouge
GJ for fixing Millers car
GJ for educating Rookie on how to have fun and get work done at the same time
GJ for mixing Dave's first drink of the night
GJ for telling IVY it was for a different Dave
GJ for organizing this whole event
GJ for opening the Barton's home to all of the folks who were invited
GJ for GXPsyRose and Rouge for all their hard work
GJ for cooking and prepping all the food
GJ for cleaning up after everything was done
GJ for keeping the trash separate from the recycling
GJ for teaching DDM how to properly install a probeam
GJ for all the work on Spicy special pickles car
GJ for not taking Jocelyn down to the cabin when she asked
GJ for just joking about the previous comment
GJ for the all the work SA did to Critter and SHiNY's cars
GJ for making sure Def's car was really far away this year.
and finally,

Dee.  For being the most unbelievably patient, kind and wonderful person in the world.  How she manages to stay sane with 53 crazy people and me hanging around her house for 4 days I have no idea.  If some of you were at my house behaving like that, I'd just shoot you.  Dee, thank you for everything, we can never repay you enough.  If you allow these meets to continue, we will continue to try to make them as stress free as possible for you.  You are so under appreciated by most it is amazing.

Gentleman Jack

PS- Joe, I finally saw the video of the clothing swap.  You are being specifically EXCLUDED from this list because I have not yet figured out how to pay you back for all you have done for me.  JimmyBaja, your not even worth thinking about.

I would also like to thank the Barton Family for helping us out, being such wonderful hosts, and opening their home to us! It takes so much hard work to do these events and I certainly appreciate it! What a crazy fun weekend! :ghug:

Got home a little after 12:30 am. Safe, but unfortunately not sound. I was beyond sick this morning and still not feeling great. Hoping more rest will do the trick. :barf:

As always, it was great to meet some new friends and seeing old ones I need to see more often!

So next time, I will not be coming off some whirlwind work trip and I'll be much more festive! Can't wait to come back to Maryland! Definitely a good last minute decision!  :yay:

And thank gawd the car is fixed!!!!!!!  :woohoo:
I tried to get a pic of the permagrin on the way back, but he's all serious in the one I got away with!  I'll get him one of these days!  I have a couple of pics I'll try to post.

So where do we go for the not so family friendly pics?

GJ promised you and others they would not be shared.  I for one feel that is unfair after all I stayed up until two (5 hours after my bed time) and everyone waited until after that to start the real fun.

Would someone please post some of the pics and videos already!  I don't have any of them.  DDM Dave, DDM Rookie and DDM Ivy have a ton.  The best ideas in the world come to mind after 2 am.  Sorry you had to go to bed so early Critter....  next year perhaps.

I'm told I lost time Sunday night.  Because my shot count is a bit less than someone elses. But I totally remember what didn't happen after 2am!

GJ...you had me laughing so hard! Thanks for helping me "out". I got over there and I'm thinking "Houston, I have a problem! There is no way this is gonna happen!"

Unfortunately, The Yak Queen has been well represented since Sat. Night!   :barf2: :barf:
