What exactly was happening?

At idle, if I revved the car enough for the BOV to release, it would release two times, one following the first release.  After adjusting the spring tension, it went away and still releases cleanly under load.  It took a lot or trial and error.

Great! Glad you got the double actuation out.... Hopefully the anti-stall will get rid of your RPM drop and you should be enjoying your kappa's new found power :)

I was enjoying it yesterday...on the way to the beach there is some open highway and I just decided to have a little fun...going from 60-110 was unreal...so fast...maybe 5 seconds or so...if you don't pay attention, you won't realize how fast you are going.

it just occured to me that a guy  here in Greece has added the Synapse BOV to his GT (stock turbo) just for the sound. he put it in the cold side pipe and he hasn't mentioned any problems with it.
however he just received the anti stall valve which he will add to it...don't know why, but he will let me know

It's because his Rpms were dropping.
Same issue Steve and myself are having.
Miller,
Can you post a pic of the connector between the turbo and passenger IC pipe.

I'm curious as to what yours looks like since the BOV in your install is on the driver IC pipe.
Thanks

On idle maybe, but what about after revving it and under a slight load at low speeds?

Its connected to the boost control solenoid that is on the engine block... not the turbo. ;)

I have one piece of vac line from the solenoid to the back of my BOV. It is split with a T fitting and the two lines go on both ports.

my greek GT friend with stock turbo and Synapse, had the exact same little problem as you describe guys and he just received today his anti stall valve.

he was kind enough to make a pre and after video that will help a lot of people understand the nature of the problem.

as he describes it, when air exits in volume through the bov all is ok, but in the end the bov stays open to let just a little bit of air out. At that time air from the atmosphere finds the opportunity to enter and causes this little rpm drop.

without anti stall valve

Just put my anti-stall valve in as well, and the problem is gone:)

The same before and after as the video above!  I am very happy!!  These need to come with the 2871 kits!

Holy crazy end of day.
Got your message Steve
My Anti Stall is installed, I didn't hold down the piston to install it, so I am not sure how ON it actually is.  Should be alright I think.
 :idk:

I would have like to heave heard the difference in the BOV, vs just watching the RPMs.  Music was too loud in the first one.

I am still getting a weird noise, but it's coming out of the Dejon Intake on the release of the Air.
Similar to how it changed when I added the intake and eliminated the stock intake.
So I don't think it's an issue.

Will relay my results as well.  Time to walk the Puppy.  She is bugging me to go out.

The anti-stall valve seems to have made it higher pitched.  It is still loud.  I did not hold the piston either, but it seems to be on there pretty good...I turned it until it just kept turning without going in anymore.  No more hesitation or dip in RPM's.  Sounds like you might have an intake issue??

Glad this worked!

Maybe they should be standard for the 2871 kits?

It is standard with this kit for an additional $39.99.  You bought the right kit Miller.  It's the other two clowns that bought the "incomplete" kit.

goof balls.
