I knew I'd find more technical details here, rather than the BB. Add me to the list of people interested in seeing more numbers. I don't want to debate them. I would just like to compare them to where I'm at with my project at the moment. I believe we were in the same ballpark yesterday (39lbs/min) at 24psi. Now I know that it's not that far off from what others are getting.

Correction: 341HP/298TQ @ 24psi. Peak airflow of 41.6 lbs/min. Automatic Trans.

uh arnt those numbers weak for a upgraded turbo

Sorry. Those are numbers to the wheel. 41 lbs/min would be around 410hp at the flywheel if we used the numbers thrown around earlier, correct?

120-130hp increase at the wheels is a pretty damn good increase in power to me.

What is your project?

project scarab.   You can google his project.   Or if you have a facebook, you can search for him there.

he has a GM race block that was bought from one of the kappa drift cars (no longer active).   Fully built head/block with a S200SX 'S2' series turbo and a custom exhaust manifold.  Plus he has the most sophisticated water/meth kit in the world (Aquamist HFS-6).

josh upgraded 95% of his engine and transmission already.

we share the same tuner (SMG motoring).   Both our cars are over there right now

elff, yup!   And he is not even finished with his tuning (only 24psi right now).     He will go all the way up to 29psi which can easily add another 50-70whp, plus of course adding water/meth injection on the final stages.

Cleaned up the thread.

Slow, don't forget, autos won't show the same RWHP as a manual.  The torque converter won't lock up.

I've also had the stall modified which throws the dyno off as well.

Josh intersting to compare your spool time/hpt logs against Steve's since both of you have automatic.

both will probably have very quick spool and big midrange power

once DDM is back from the nationals, hopefully they can release HPT logs of steve (auto) and elff (manual).

I think Elff will have a dyno session in a week or so.

you and I both are very interested to see more technical info :)

Disnt realize project scarab was your Josh.

Couple more days till I get some numbers on mine.
I currently would not want 50 more hp.
Gotta get the internals and clutch upgraded.
Power is at a really good point for me right now.

It's not Tuning.  It's just a dyno run.  Dave@DDM tuned mine on the street.  Was fun as hell being the passenger while he thrashed the hell out of it.
Kinda funny grabbing the oSh1t handle.  He sure can drive.
Anywho.
Local shop is doing a dyno day $55 for 4 pulls, so I said what the heck.  I just want to see what the car puts down and compare it to my GMPP dyno.
It won't be a pure comparison because the makes of the Dyno are different, but it's something and fairly inexpensive for some fun.
And also put out a ball park for people.
Been practicing my launches as well so I can do some Dynolicious 1/4 miles and compare them to my last ones.
I suck at launching though and the added power hasn't helped.
I'm hoping to be able to let DDM do the internals and Clutch over the winter when I won't be driving it.

I'm at 25psi when at WOT.  I did some logging with Dashcommand, but it exports to an lgf file.
What the heck opens that?
Rev will export to excel, so I changed that up and will play with that.  I think I am lower on the airflow than Steve.

might be his ram air making a difference?

because both of you have very identical set-up except that.

damn, I wish dave was able to bring his dyno at joes during the mod meet.   So you guys would had a dyno tuning instead of street tuning.

i really would like to see how your turbo reacts on the dyno, since I only have DDM Dave's dyno sheet to look at right now.

I used to use dynolicious.........numbers never were consistent on those.....from my stock engine......to modified engine....so don't feel bad....lol

I agree as well....any more power and the car becomes less street driveable.  IMO, this is the perfect amount of power for a street driven car, especially a daily driver, without sacrificing driveability.  Trust me, for MOST people, this is more than enough power.

So true! The car is such a handful now I'm keeping the 24psi tune as my DD tune. We're going to push to 29psi just to see what happens.

I thought LNF have 27 highway miles per gallon....and around 20-22 city miles?

5 gallons should at least make 100 miles :)
