I have several "lighting mods" and the easiest way to do an underbody lighting kit is to go through the spare fuse in the passenger footwell, run the wiring behind the dash to the passenger door, lift part of the seal so as to not pinch the wiring in the door and hide the wires into the engine compartment and down under the car.

Remembering that undercar and accent lighting is "illegal" in most states, a kill switch is highly recommended mounted somewhere in the car. Mine is in the glove box.

There are several add a fuse topics here including a footwell lighting mod by TS. If you want more detail, recommend PMing TomatoSoup for "how to" on lighting mods. He is one of the Master lighting guys here along with DeepBLUEGXP, Critterman, and LilNDN.

Most states permit under body lights as long as the bulbs are not physically visible.

that being said I would still wire them on a switch because they do make you the center of police officers attention. night one with the kit back on I got pulled over for no front plate.

So you're saying you're a dumbass because you drew additional attention to yourself when you already knew you weren't obeying the law? Brilliant! :poke:

He neglected to mention the other law or laws he was breaking at the time. Never did say what the ticket damage was, but maybe he got outta it? I forgot to ask.  :idk:

I assume this is the surprise. If so, I figured this was it. If not, then I'm clueless and will figure it out thurs! Btw, you're so doing this to my car!!! Thx! :)

And aren't you supposed to be sitting on the beach right now?

LMAO I don't have one either. I had the flip down plate but it was never reinstalled with the new hood/bumper. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

We should amend the constitution (state level of course) to ban all front plate requirements! I think the color of the lights has something to do with it as far as regarding legallity. But I'm not sure.

Now the knight rider red forward facing lights would be illegal. all red light bulbs must be facing the rear of the vehicle.

But sometimes the law is meant to be broken!
