Well this happened last week, and it isn't really what I did to my kappa.

We can all welcome another victim to the Dead Water Pump Society.

I knew it was only a matter of time as Wartie saw some suspicious drips on the frame last fall.  At least it didn't happen while I was out of town!

Just under 94K.  93,899.  I took a pic as soon as I saw the coolant light.

I am pulling the turbocharger:

Because Edelbrock cone filters are garbage (rated for 470 hp, I am only 390):

Steel cap fell off then flow drilled onto the compressor wheel.

That's going to leave a mark.

There was someone on here a little while back selling a NOS turbo might still be available.

Hehe, Thanks for the suggestion, however I am running a 2.4 LE5 with a Precision turbocharger.  Precision is going to take a look at it for me and see what it needs.  I am looking at real street for a new Precision if the rebuild isn't worth it.

I am planning a high hp build (dreaming 600 hp), don't think the K04 is up to the task

Sold my Opel GT, about a couple of weeks ago, I had to, almost.
In the last year or so I barely drove it because I could not fit my new extended family, last year our baby was born, since than lack of time and impossibility to drive with three of us in the car made it into a parking queen.
We just moved out from Romania so the car would be parked even more because I could not take it with me, so decided to sell it.

Looks like I'm joining GJ&elff's club ... of kappaless group ...or not...
