Friday

5:30 or 6 ish - Meet at the hotels as people get in. I'll be in town earlier. I need to look at which hotel I'm staying at!

6:45 PM - Head into town. Option B is probably what we'll do. There is a band playing on the north side of the square at 7:00 pm. We can listen and then go to dinner. We didn't have enough numbers for Friday for the Musical Review.
7:00 PM - Pontiac Band on the Square - We can also walk around a little.
8:00 PM - Dinner at Bernardi's. - We might not get the room upstairs. If we don't, we may be able to eat of the menu...which is fantastic!!

Saturday

9:00 am - RT 66 Cruise Meet at the hotels (whichever one I'm at!)

11:00 am - Arrive in Pontiac. Lunch is on your own. There are tons of great little places in town, but they aren't large enough to accommodate all of us at lunch. I'll have a list for everyone. Last year we split into groups and tried different things!

Trolley Tour - Highly recommended
7 Lincoln Sites
Swinging Bridges
Mural Tour
Walldog Museum
RT 66 Museum
War Museum
Historic Homes
The museums are free and open between 9-10 am until 4 pm.

2:00 pm - Possible Photo Op at the RT 66 Mural - Still working on this one. Especially since I kinda messed it up last year!
5:00 - 8:00 pm - Cruise Night! Food, Music, Raffles, and we get to cruise the square! Looks the the museums will still be open also!
Pontiac Cruise Night
8:00 pm - I have a few options for this. If we want, we could do pizza at Mario's. There is also a local watering hole locally known as "The Dead Animal Bar". Figured that would be perfect for our group!

Sunday

9:00 am - Meet to run up to Starved Rock, if there is interest. We'll do a modified Starved Rock run. This will take approximately 2 hrs.
12:00 - Lunch on the veranda at Starved Rock or we can head outta town!

Currently planning on heading out Thursday evening/Fri AM. Gonna try and bring some name tags to put faces to handles. Wife still not plan on going, pretty much refuses to board our special needs bulldogs. Though I wish I could bring one w/me it's way to hot for bullies.

Reserved two beds @ Best Western if anyone wants to go halfsies on accommodations/non-smoker. Still haven't decided to drive coupe or vert.

Friday Night - How about we have dinner with the Mayor of Pontiac, Bob Russell and his wife Susan? Guess they enjoyed us last year!

Saturday:

8:45 am - Meet in the Quality Inn parking lot for our RT 66 Cruise. We won't be going here:

Java Stop

Because they moved the entire building!

But we will still be visiting the longest operating gas station on RT 66. It's somewhat of a museum now and pretty neat to see! I thought it would be nice to actually visit a RT 66 site this time! And never fear...we'll stop in O'Dell for a photo op in front of the old gas station there instead!

2:00 pm - Group Photo Op in front of the World's Largest RT 66 Shield mural. Located behind the RT 66 Museum. This year, they will take our photo and can offer T-shirts, key rings, mugs, note cards, etc with the group picture or individual pictures for purchase! If you want an individual picture, don't forget to stop by once we are in town.

I'm working on setting up parking for us downtown when we get back into Pontiac. Probably will be on the square like last year. Ellie will reserve space for us!

Slight change in plans for Saturday morning. Going with Plan B because someone decided to buy the Java Stop and move it! The entire little building...which I think was just a couple of shipping containers anyway!

Pontiac was another great get together again this year, thanks to Ihawk for putting this all together for us.

It was also nice to meet some new people in person as well as see some old friends again. Those of you who lurk out there don't be afraid to post here from time to time, you know who you are.

Thanks SA! The City and the Mayor were extremely gracious to us again this year! They had a few new surprises for us! And today's run was fantastic!

Guilty as charged and as it turns out I took the following pics just for you, I think you will see why.

It's kind of funny I turned a sink into a parts washer, the pizza place we had dinner at last night did just the opposite.

Sorry Critter some fool told himself to remember his camera and he still managed to forget the thing when he left yesterday, good thing he had his cell phone with him. You now have all the pictures I took that turned out. I believe that the official count was 20 Kappas, 2 were Sky's, Ihawk can correct me if I am wrong.

SA Thanks You they are indeed some good shots , and the sink is a Classic. Oh I was just trying to count windshield frames so I might have missed a Few . Great trip and sorry about your Camara. sounds like me taking pictures of the Damage on my car then leaving both camaras in the Car at body shop. Hope you get it back.

I'm counting at least 21. We had 4 kappas that came who either were last minute attendees or I didn't get on the updated list. I can update the list tonight and verify.

The City was amazing to us again! They had a record breaking Cruise Night with 180 cars. And they paid for our fees for Cruise Night which was great! They are always adding something new and keeping things interesting which makes you want to go back! I can't thank them enough for all their help and hospitality! The mayor ran around with us Friday night and most of the day Saturday! He's a riot!
