If you want a Villa, you will have to call to get our event discount. More king rooms were added, but let me know if there are any problems getting the reservation you desire for the dates you want. Our group rates are good either side of the event so you can arrive early and stay over if you want.

Biltmore Estate Tour Ticket prices are good for tours from the 19th to the end of June.
So, you do not have to tour the Estate on the day of the Photo Shoots in front of Biltmore House unless you want to.
No group has been granted this good of a concession.

Wish I could make it. Time to move overseas again, though... I gotta be in Moscow in June, so will likely have to leave before the nats. Would have made nice bookends to our time in the states this round, though. We got back from Germany just in time to make the '09 NASSM in Colorado.

As I stated on July 18Th, 2011 this may be the "Mother" of all National Meets indeed! If I was guessing I would think that attendance records could be broken at this Meet due to location, amenities, and gracious people who will be hosting the event and the fun factor will be off the charts!!! Can't wait to get on the road and the location will indeed be perfect for all aspects of a great NASSM. I am beginning my diet now, cause I know for a fact that the southern cooking will interfere with my waistline. Indeed, will have to figure for that after indulgences at the Meet in order to drive the Eagle back to Kansas. To all the good folks setting up this event thanks in advance for the hard work setting this Meet into action. It will indeed be a blast and could be the "Mother of all Meets!!!

There is a photographer in West Virginia who takes panoramic pictures from a raised platform. The printed photo is about 48 inches by about 12 inches. The film is that size, so there is no sharpness lost by enlarging. I've been to three events where he took the picture. The detail is amazing. Whoever is in charge of the group photo might want to look into getting him.

Not sure who will do the shoot yet, but Ingle Photo and Stretch Photography are invited guests

We strongly suggest ALL gather on the hill top to view the sunrise effect.
This IZ a ONE TIME event with 'panaviews' available for purchase. The photo shoot deserves it's own thread but I have several new hats to wear literally.

I am hoping the forecast will include heavy dew set with building cumulonimbus for diffuse light. Anyone who may have MOBILITY IMPAIRMENTS however slight will be provided accommodations, so that they may see and experience this sunrise effect in the Land of Sky

The location of this house was no accident as the only other sunrise I have seen that comes close to this one is in the West Maui mountains

Miss Red Eagle, Carol and I arrived in Lexington, Kentucky last night where way back it was the location for a Regional Meet, and by the way the only regional Meet we have ever attended! Great town indeed and what an event that regional was. I still have fond memories of it.

The Eagle will be flying today for the final day of travel to the 2012 North American Solstice and Sky Meet. Can't wait to see all you guys and gals tonight when we arrive!!! Have fun and drive safe!

Oh, my goodness, what a fun NASSM! We have been here just a short time and have met and talked to so many wonderful folks that hang out on this great forum. Met a guy that owns a 2012 Corvette Z06 and the drivers seat looks and feels very similar to our 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP seat. Maybe a tad firmer but very close indeed. Amazing car should have asked him the HP on it but it had the big V8 so I am guessing that he was running 505 Horses!

To get back on topic, will try to post some updates when time allows. So far the weather has been perfect and Ashville, North Carolina is gorgeous and so green and the hills and mountains around here are awesome. I would like to hijack some of the twisties to Kansas.

The Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap on Dragon US 129 Robbinsvill, North Carolina was the best I have ever driven and did it twice while we were there ( 318 curves in 11 miles). Well, I have to head out and wash Miss Red Eagle and get some of the bugs off her. See ya on the flip side, uh, only kidding...
