Wanna see what a Solstice looks like under the skin?
« on: August 08, 2011, 04:34:39 PM »
A guy over on the BB is parting out a Solstice.  Turns out he's stripping a crashed Sol down to use as a basis for a Morgan +4 "re-build".  Anyway, he has a web site for the project, stuffed with photos of the Sol being cut apart and dismantled.  Never seen such good shots of how the car is put, and fits, together. Especially around the trunk, gas tank and muffler (for now).

The site is http://mogrod.com/  -- hope you find it as interesting as I did!  More power to him.

Didn't Member 2KWK4U do something similar on his 06 Solstice?
I think I remember him taking pics as he disassembled his NEW car?  Then I thought he sold his 06 when he went to Germany and came back bought an 08GXP but maybe I got the wrong person.
Found it http://presson.smugmug.com/gallery/1781450_fZN5A#88586728_2QySE
Great job to both for taking the time to document for others to learn.

Wow, I'd never seen that full collection before.  I've seen his interior dismantle photo posts, but there's a lot more there!  Thanks for that.

Maybe folks know of more of these photo collections?  We could gather them ALL here.

2k took his apart to see how it came apart, put it all back together, sold it, ordered a GXP, went to Germany, had the car delivered to his dad's, came back to Maryland, got the car, and is now in other places while his car is still here.  He will be back.
