Haha! This is the first time I've revisited the page and saw the pics. Looking good. Dave told me on Friday that both motors are out and Gwyneth is ready to accept the new one.

I wish that were the case. Good pictures, DDM folks! Also, Dave mentioned that Gwyneth has the torque arm/converter thing for the transmission that Amelia did not. This fact prevents me from being able to use the new transmission that Amelia had installed a few months prior to her accident.  Another question is whether the driver's side VDi hinge survived and will be able to be re-used.

That's would be one helluva mod. Brings me back to thinking whether the Kappa platform can be modified into an AWD platform. Sure would help planting some of the power. I know that mod would be quite cost prohibitive.

I'll take a look at the first post.  Thanks for the reference.  I didn't realize there were any posts other than the last one.  I might need the yellow front bumper for my Solstice.

Make the right choices now

They are correct, Amelia was a Sky. Not too sure if you are interested in a Sky front bumper. Would make for an interesting mod and write up. The possiblities are endless as are the problems...

What's left of Amelia will be going up to Norm's fiberglass. A deal has already been worked out with him. As far as I know, Amelia will not be put back together except for the parts to let us roll/ drag her onto a flatbed for transport. The other engine, tranny, soft top, etc. (basically any parts removed to allow a swap) will probably be boxed up and taken with Norm without having to reinstall them.

So the rear differential is going back in. Does it have the TSB recall installed (vent hose fix)?

No, it is not required with those that have the torque arm.

Some updated pictures of Gwyneth. A special thanks to DDM for all of their hard work! Thank you Norm (Norm'sFG) for coming down and adding some final touches. I had a blast at the Open House and seeing everyone and meeting new owners even though our karaoke plans were a wash. Next time, Gadget!!!!!! NEXT TIME!!!!!!!

I don't know Helios, you may want to rethink her name. It seems like you may be her only fan left. :poke:
