Rhys Millen has lost his mind!
« on: December 25, 2008, 10:03:38 PM »
OK many of you remember last year Rhys Millen almost killed himself in practice flipping an off road pick up truck. Well guess what he is going to try again, New Yeras Eve again in Las Vegas he will try again. Good luck Rhys, don't kill yourself buddy. I will be watching my friend, wish I could be there!

I know Joe has met Max, not sure who else has, he was RMMSHOP on that other forum, he is in the background of Rhys's interview before the jump drinking a beer. He doesn't work for Rhys anymore he is is in Cop School now. You can also see Max in the crash scenes from last year. The young kid behind Eric Cantore during his interview talking to Rhys in the truck, is one of the mechanics JT, he is very young but super talented, built the GTO for racing last year and did a lot of the work on the jump truck.

THAT MOTORCYCLE JUMP WAS NUTZ!

Unbelievable!  I hope he does not try it again.  He is going to run out of luck one of these days.  You just don't live on the edge, day after day, and not get bitten.  I hope he is covered by a ton of insurance for his wife and family.

I doubt that any insurance company would write him a policy given his lifestyle/occupation.  I have a pilots license care to guess what that does for me when it comes to life insurance?

Rhys was far more upset than what you saw on TV, he is really, really pissed he didn't land it on all 4, he will be doing it again, I would bet if the truck hadn't gotten banged up he would have tried again last night.

Here is some triva, did you know Rhys has chickens as pets, the names are DK (Drift King) KFC (Kwik F'n Chicken) and Hazard, you can figure that one out. I hope they do a better job of naming the new kid, General Lee would be tough to go through life with.

I just got an email from Max, he was at the jump with Rhys, he told me Rhys is upset with the landing, but as he said on TV it was the first time they had landed on a ramp, they think if the ramp had been higher the truck would not have bounced so hard and stayed on it's wheels.

Red Bulls new slogan will be "Red Bull even gives trucks wings! and motorcycles!"
