It should be one heck of a race.  I don't like what is going one with Sauber and they poor guys at Manor haven't turned a lap yet.  Onare still trying to get all the electronics to talk to each other.  One of the announcers said it took 4 hours to code the tail light to blink when it is supposed to,

Wtf thats some seriously bad coders.

One thing that was obvious is Vettel is comfortable in the ferrari.  He was smooth and as fast as the Ferrari would go.

Look for him to have a strong year if the Ferrari is reliable.

From what the announcers said -  When they got the team out of receivership and the computers were wiped clean.  They had to start from scratch and make every component talk to each other at the right time and do the right thing.  I'm guessing it is not a simple thing to make thousands of parts talk to each other.

Watched the race, some very routine things and some very interesting drives and teams.

Yes it was, as expected the Mercedes team is 1, 2.
The good news for Ferrari is they got a podium and Vettel look good.
The Red Bull Team needs to have a heart to heart with Renault (spelling) engine manufacturer.
Williams look good is to bad Botas got injured.
The rookies did a pretty good job, to bad for the 17 year old and the engine trouble so he could not finish.
Looking to see Alonso back and hopefully all the mechanical problems for the teams will get sort out a bit better come the next race in 2 weeks.
The Lotus team got a pretty back brake, hopefully will be better next time.

I almost feel like Williams hit the pits too soon and lost the podium as a result of that.  lSyt year they did that as well. I almost think they should react vs be proactive.
But Masa drove solid and brought it home.

Those rookies looked awesome. The other felipe is no joke and Sauber has a quick car.

The fact that Jenson finished the race was excellent news and a ton of Data for Honda McLaren. That should go a long ways to them improving.

Its a shame about Kimi, i almost wonder if the first lap ping pong stuff caused the damage on the rear wheel. But, Ferrari is back.   Both Kimi and Vettel looked real comfortable. They might not have enough pace to keep up with MB, but them and Sauber showed the rest of the pack that they are strong.

I like the showing from Sauber, I even like their color scheme.  Both in in the points, and each one got more points today than the team got all last year.

Jenson provided more data today than they got from both cars during all 3 test sessions.

I think there is going to be a hell of a fight for the midfield section of the pack.  I don't think any of the teams are up to the Mercedes standards, but it is possible for one or more of them to start sniffing their heels.

Elff you could be right about Kimi, but we will never know,

Malaysia in two weeks.

I also agree with Elff on Kimi.
Next race he will even be more pumped up to show the Ferrari team he can be as good or better than Vettel.
I am looking forward to Alonso coming back and see if the McLaren/Honda machine can compete with the rest of the pack.

OK.
It is looking good for Ferrari, Kim put up very good numbers.
Vettel by the way put some good numbers up, specially since he ran it using the Hard compound tires vs Kim that use the softer compound.
Critterman is right Elff there was a lot of info given to us during the practice session.

I think they cover most of it at Qualifying and I read the website.

Very entertaining Qualifying.  Rain always makes it interesting.  This is why I set my DVR to extend the end time by 2 hours.  If I had not done that, I would have missed Q3.

How about those Young Kids taking over row 3.  Very impressive.

I just came on to warn everyone that Q3 had been delayed at least 30 minutes due to rain.  So you could tape the replay later today if you didn't have additional time on your recording.   I HAVEN'T GOTTEN TO Q3 YET ELFF!!!!!

Yea, but with how crazy the weather is at this track, anything can happen tomorrow.   Make sure you set your DVR for additional time just in case of weather delays.

Ferrari was real fast.  One full lap on 3 tires and Kimi comes in 4th with a serious gap between him and 5th place. The Ferrari's also were very good on the tires.

Yes they were, don't know if you all caught the spoiler I posted or not.  I'm not so sure that the tires were the problem, I think Ferrari was just that good this week.  I think it is going to be an interesting season for sure.
