I have also made comments about Vettel and Perez when it was deserved, and others.
You all have your opinions, but his body language in the interview said something else.

Yes, it said
"I did the right thing, but it might cost me the drivers championship."

One thing that was pretty impressive was that McLaren had a double points weekend and Alonso finished 6th.
That was extremely significant.

His body language also said he wasn't happy the technical issues with his radio may have been what cost him the chance to win.  If he hadn't pitted but stayed out for 5-10 more laps he would have had fresher tires at the end.

I guess since we now have a 4 week break we can go back to making fun of Roli.  The next race is closer to where he works you know?

I'm a bit more basic than that, I've never had a DVR, and don't have a working VCR hooked up.
However, since I can access NBCSN, and they currently have all the F1 races back to the start of June available to stream, I don't need a DVR.

Kimi snagged for another year by Ferrari
Not keeping him would be stupid.   I actually think he could have beaten Vettel in numerous races this season, but he followed team orders.

Can't believe it's already been a month

I've been bing watching Street Outlaws to fill the gap.

FP1 on Friday should have a boatload of information about all the teams after this break.
SPA is super fast, so I am thinking MB is gonna be tough to beat.   This will show whether or not Ferrari can hang.

After the penalty to Kimi in this race and the Penalty handed to Verstappen in Hungary
how in the hell does Perez get away with no penalty after committing another completely unneeded dangerous driving move that not only ultimately caused him to retire, cost his team serious points and affected every other team in the race.

Compare that idiocy with the side by side driving of Ricciardo, Bottas and Raikenen on the restart lap.
How did those 3 not hit??
Translation, they know how to drive and have respect for their cars and the other drivers on the track.

Fawk Perez. What a total asshole.  He needs to get a full race suspension.

Forcing people into walls or off track because you are an inferior driver or lacking pace is unacceptable.

I hope he gets dropped by the team this season.

Interesting first few laps and the final laps after the safety car.  Bottas got out of the gas and swerved off the track to avoid a collision as did Magnussen who locked up realized he was going to hit the back of Grossjean and swearved off the track as well.

You are right team pink is starting to stink.  Team principle issued a statement to the effect that they will not be given a chance to do it again as they will not be driving together again.  What ever that means.

I do not know what the team principal will do, but I would think he will seat Perez for at least the next race, maybe more.
He would probably let him drive in the Mexican and US races and seat Ocon for those, just a guess on my part.
Ferrari although finished 2nd it did not look good for them, so Ferrari better fix what was wrong or MB will take the race in their home turf.
I do not think Ves will be a good choice for MB since him and Hamilton would not click. Same reason Ferrari stayed with Kimi, since Vettel and Ves would not click either.
Alonso sure is in a bind at the moment, lets see what the next few races outcomes will be, that should determine his fate.
I also can not see Ves with Williams, so maybe he will wait another year before making a change.
Riciardo keeps been on the right place at the right time, good for him, and Bottas needs to shake this race and improve or he is gone.

Bottas is having a fantastic season and I think it would be stupid of MB to replace him just because of today.
He is solidly in 3rd place in the drivers championship behind 2 multiple champions.
There are plenty of races left and he is only 41 points off wining the driver championship himself.

I really am not sure where all this speculation about him is coming from and I don't see any other driver aside from Hamilton, doing any better than him in that car including Vettel[Not an option at the moment] Alonso or Verstappen.

I am past being tired ot team pink, those two asshats don't have a chance of a podium but they continue to screw over those that do.  The FIA needs to step up and fix that shit.

What the hell is going on with Redbull and Ves?

I won't be surprised to see Alonso go to Indy car.

I don't see Bottas going anywhere.

Did anyone notice how halfassed the driver position graphics where this race?  At one point Ham was in both first and third place if only he could have finished the race that way, he would have been first in the points.

Haven't seen the race but team Pink sounds like they need me to go slap them around. Ocon should be ok when Perez leaves / sits. He's young and will get smarter, just like Verstapen.

I'll try to watch this week. I'm headed home from Portland / Bend trip now.

The speculation about Bottas came from the announcers from MBCSN because his contract with MB is only for this year and it has not been renewed as of yet.

I do recall that now.  It still seems like it would be a bad move.  If I was MB, I would like Bottas in for multiple years.  He is fast as hell, consistent and follows team orders to a T.  On top of all that, he is a real contender for the driver championship which means MB is a lock for the Constructors championship.

SA, I noticed that numerous times.  At one point they had the entire grid off by 1 place.

SPOILER ALERT.   If you didn't have qualifying recording for at least 3 hours you will miss the last 13 minutes of Q1.  Once the red flag is displayed it is two and a half hours before they resume due to weather.  Did not get to Q2 or Q3.  7am tomorrow we will find out what is going on.

From the F1 website, it would appear that they got Q2 and Q3 in and the grid is set. But what do I know?

YMMV
