The Halo is significant and I am happy to see the T wing and Shark Fin go away.

Is the halo really going to have a bar right in front of the driver like that?

Yes it will, which a few of the drivers and the old commentators made remarks that it would get on the way of the driver.

I am not sure of that area of the F1 Body is wide enough to have adequate strength if they use 2 bars at the outside of the drivers vision similar to where the pillars of a windshield are.

Why no grid guys?
Why no female drivers?

There is a large segment of the available financial population that is being missed by these marketing people. The first sport to figure out how to market to mixed audiences is going to crush it financially.
I’d like to be part of it.

Here is a potential Indycar solution, FWIW:   http://www.racer.com/indycar/item/147172-indycar-windscreen-revealed

That make a little more sense.  I know F1 evaluated a similar solution and passed on it.

the 2018 Cars look amazing.  I really like the Yellow Jacket Renault, but Haas, Williams and Alfa Romeo are killer as well.  I kind of wish Red Bull would stay with the livery on the car right now, but I think it will have more red and yellow
Damn I am excited for the season to start now and they haven't even revealed the MB or Ferrari

Thanks, I couldn't find anything last week when I looked.  The must have changed the listings.

They showed P3 and started an hour later than the listing time, hope you extended your recording.
Qualifying was interesting.  Not sure how I feel about the look and colors of the new cars.

Watched qualifying, looks like Honda still hasn't figured it out.  Haas looks like they could be contenders this year.  Alonso has to like the change in powerplants.

What happened with Ricciardo, how did he get a 3 spot penalty?

I didn't see that F'n split screen broadcast hope it stays that way guess we'll see.

Tomorrow will tell about the split screen.
Unfortunately these announcers suck.  I miss Leigh, Steve and Hobbs.

Tomorrow should be very interesting.  These cars are incredibly close.  Any of the top 6 can win and Haas looked very promising.

I was very surprised about Force India's lack of performance.

Ricardo was penalized in either P1 or P2 for infringement of a new rule concerning red flags.   There was one and the stewards said he didn't lift soon enough and then slowed down too much.  The announcers didn't understand why because they said he lifted when they would have after the lights went on.  They talked about it but never showed it.  I think we are getting the feeds from Sky TV in England.  Those are the announcers there.
