Action packed first lap.  Red Flagged.  Next 77 laps were mostly follow the leader, but we had a different leader than VER.

MB is getting their act together just in time for Hamilton to leave.

I seriously don't understand why everyone wants to go to Ferrari.  Sure, they were great 50 years ago, but I've been watching F1 since 2011 and they just continue to be a 3rd or 4th place team out of 10 teams.
Personally I think this is a bad move for Hamilton.

I am surprised we don't have a decision for Sainz yet.   I wonder if he is holding out for a chance with MB?   He has been very consistent this season and with 1 less race than LeClerc is 4 points behind LeClerc and in 4th place.
McLaren is looking really well, and with Perez tanking as of late, have a real chance at the Constructors.   Not sure if its bad luck or what, but ever since Perez extended his contract, he just has not performed.    Meanwhile Norris is knocking at the doorstep and Piastri is right there with him.

There's a great Jeremy Clarkson quote from Top Gear years ago, to the effect of "Ferrari can only do one thing right at a time. If they've got a good F1 car, their road cars and Le Mans cars will be forgettable. If they have a good road car, the F1 and Le Mans teams suffer."

I think that was said about the 458, which debuted in 2009...the last time Ferrari won the constructor's championship was in 2008. They just won Le Mans, so maybe in a year or two F1 will be next?

That?s a funny analysis. We will have to see if it becomes true

So McLaren is continuing to strong. They sure made this last race awkward though.
Verstappen?s meltdown was quite enjoyable and he can say what he wants about Hamilton, but Verstappen came in too hot in that corner and was lucky he didn?t take out both cars

I enjoyed the race this weekend and was happy to see McLaren and Merc go 1-2-3.

I do not like verstappen. And this weekend just reinforced that feeling for me.

I?m hopeful constructors will get super close over the next three races to keep that interesting. Not sure drivers championship will be dramatic, but maybe?

Spa was a great race.

The top spots are sure flipping around and I feel like RB is all of a sudden on their back feet.   They need to figure something out over the break.

MB and Mclaren look great.    Considering where Verstappen finished, I think Perez? being 8th matched the car?s performance.

Now the season is exciting.  These are the types of races that made me love F1.

Russel being DQ'd for under weight kinda of sucks for him.  Just happy it didn't promote Verstappen to a win.

Yea, that was a shock to me.   I am really looking forward to seeing how if this trend continues after the break.

I am shocked that no one higher in the current ranks woo?d Sainz and that he ended up at Williams.   I will say that Albon is having a pretty solid year, so maybe they are getting back to form.

I read in one of the F1 rags from England that RB there was an issue with them being outside of regulations.  This was corrected two or three weeks before summer break.

Interesting.................

So kind of like that thing with Ferrari a few years ago?  They broke the rules but the FIA won't tell anyone what they did and we are supposed to pretend that it didn't impact race results.

There was talk about a valve in the rear brake system that allow a difference in brake pressures between the inside and outside wheels.  Anyway racing starts again this weekend set your betamax.

Italy this weekend.   Hamilton's possible replacement was in Russell's car for P1.  Crashed on the second lap.

Wow
Red Bull has falled off big time.

3 different Teams win the last 3 races.   That makes the season exciting.
Tightest Construtors race I can remember.

Seems odd that now the two Red Bull cars are preforming about equal where as at the beginning of the season there was a big gap between the cars.

Didn't think I was going to get to watch the race due to Direct tv and Disney in fact everything prior to today was blocked.  However I was surprised to see my DVR had recorded it.  The end was a bit of a what just happened?  But it was a good race, glad I didn't miss it.
