Baku was interesting, strong gusting winds made for some action.  6 Red flags during qualifying.  Took longer than the race.  Ferrari showed promise right up to qualifying.  Unusual starting grid.  Now go watch.

Well I guess I'm done after this season ends.

https://www.espn.com/f1/story/_/id/46596025/formula-1-announces-new-apple-tv-us-broadcast-deal

Can't say I have watched all the races in a timely manner this year but I have watched them all.  I'm one race behind it seems for most of the summer.

Not the carnage of the sprint race, but not without issues.  The driver's championship is narrowing down to three, you heard me right 3.

Howdy strangers!  Drivers championship getting interesting.

Not sure about the move to Appletv?. We have it, but don?t know if they will maintain any quality.

I think I?m subtly cheering for Lando?  Not 100% sure.

I?d love to see HAM sneak a win and have a better car, same with Russell.

Make the right choices now

Hello it has been a while.  It would be nice to see HAM on a podium if not a win.  I am rooting for papaya this year, just hope they can keep their heads out of each other's @$$.   But deep down I think I am secretly rooting for him that should not be named.  He is driving an excellent 2nd half and could do an end run around the others.

One of the best races of the season if you forget about the 30 second lead 1st place had.   Lot of racing from 2nd back.  VSC spoiled what could have been a very exciting finish

I don't really like the fact that Vegas is like 2 time zone off from me and I still have to DVR the race because it's in the middle of the night.  WTF

The championship is interesting this year, I feel like anyone of the top three has a good chance to pull it off.

I agree with the times but it is the only time they can get to close the streets to traffic.  I hope the championship stays tight in the few remaining races.

Go to your room TS.

After race update.....Well it is still a 3 driver race for the championship with 26 points separating 1st and 3rd.  There was some excitement followed by long periods of follow the leader.  3 cars DNF and 2 were disqualified for excessive wear on the rear planks.  Two races to go and 9 weeks till the testing of the 2026 cars which will be entirely different.

2026 F1 cars will be smaller, lighter, and more agile than 2025 cars, with a significant shift in power to a near 50/50 split between the internal combustion engine and electrical power. The 2026 cars will feature active aerodynamics and sustainable fuels, while 2025 cars have a more traditional hybrid system, larger chassis, and rely on DRS for overtaking.
You can watch this video to see a comparison between 2025 and 2026 F1 cars:

Feature    2025 F1 Cars                                                                                                  2026 F1 Cars
25-Size and Weight   Bigger and heavier chassis with a traditional wheelbase and width.
26-Smaller, lighter, and more agile with a reduced wheelbase and width.

Power Unit
25-Traditional hybrid with the internal combustion engine (ICE) doing most of the work and a smaller electric component.
26-Overhauled hybrid with a near 50/50 split between ICE and electrical power. The MGU-K power output will be nearly triple that of 2025 cars.

Aerodynamics
25-More traditional fixed aero systems with high downforce and drag.
26-Active aerodynamics with movable front and rear wings that switch between low-drag and high-downforce modes.

Overtaking
25-Utilizes the Drag Reduction System (DRS).
26-Replaces DRS with active aerodynamics. The two modes allow for greater straight-line speed or cornering performance.

Fuel
25-Conventional fuel mixed with hybrid technology.
26-Fully sustainable fuel.

Handling and Performance
25-Higher downforce and drag, which can make following other cars difficult.
26-Less downforce and drag, designed for more consistent and predictable handling, but potentially slower in corners due to lower downforce.

Driving
25-Driving techniques are focused on the current hybrid system.
26- Driving technique will require more focus on energy management, including lifting and coasting more often.

The next race will be the Qatar Grand Prix the weekend of December 5-7, 2025, which will include a sprint race.

My betamax says it is this weekend but I don't think so.
