So Lewis had a total DNF earlier and and this race cost Vettel serious points.
So pretty much, it's like the season is starting right now for the Driver Championship
But Holy Shit, don't count out Bottas. He might be able to win it as well.
IMO the top 3 drivers in F1 at the moment are
Hamilton
Bottas
Ricciardo

MB is on point again, and with the whole Oil burning controversy, Ferrari might be down a little power.  Not sure if everyone knows what that is about, but it's some seriously crazy high tech way of getting a little more power.  It might be why the head of Ferrari engine design was let go.
I will say it is time for Honda to retire.  Spec 3 hype was a failure.  They don't have what it takes to build a reliable and competitive F1 powertrain and it's time for McLaren to get a real system.
Compare that to the Red Bull engines.   They seem to have improved significantly this season and it is making Both Red Bull drivers able to steal a win any weekend.

I think had they not called Ver in to pit he would have taken 3rd.

The amount of oil they carry is not measured and fuel is.  If they can burn a qt of oil they get an extra qt of fuel.  It doesn't give them any more power, just more fuel.

I'm guess they called VER in because of the trajectory info they were getting off that tire.

Vettel's tire was flat, he had to come in.

As far as the Oil burning, that is true.  It means they have to pull power from the tuning so it does not burn as much fuel.  Simply AFR = HP.

VET - Flat tire
RIC - the carcass seperated from the inner liner, still had air in it, but the rubber was off.
VER - got called in as well, I think that was from the readings the engineers were getting off of the tire.

Great race though.  Very exciting.  A little tire drama makes for some great viewing.

Amazing Qualifying.  Can't wait until tomorrow.  Di Resta did a hell of a job to qualify 19th with only 11 laps in a 2017 F1 car.

Let's hope is nothing serious with Felipe's condition.
I agree Di Resta did a great job driving this car for the 1st time.
Tomorrow will be all in the start of the race, lets see what happens.

That was a very interesting race, with something I did not expect to happen on the last lap, last turn.

Is a completely different team member and one that is extremely well like, so imaging what would the talk would be if he did not reciprocate.
His interview still tells you a lot about him, and the reason a lot of people do not like him.

I think his interview was great and that and his actions are why I really like him.  He was honest and sincere.
He is a racer and always wants to win, but to do that and sacrifice key points while he is fighting for first place says a lot about his character.  Of course that is going to be on his mind.
You wouldn't see Vettel or Perez do that.
Vettel ignored team orders and stole a win from Weber
Perez ignored team orders and actively blocked his team mate and then caused a crash with his team mate.
Other greats would not have done it, including Schumacher.

I wanted to believe he would.  His radio traffic with about 10 laps to go led me to believe he would.  I like him even more now.  and you are right Elff I thought it was a great  interview.  Best image of the entire race was Alonzo in the recliner over the par fa may (sp) painting.

Ricardo's car broke like Derrick Rose's knee, I don't think Ver intended to hit him like that rather he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
