I wouldn't complain if they gave Ham a penalty,  he did earn one.

Russel is doing well and that has to be eating at Ham.  Could it be Russel knows how to make a sub par car do as good as possible and as Alonso said Ham only knows how to drive when starting in first?

Well that was an interesting race.  Anyone who doesn't believe Max can drive and didn't deserve last years championship (me) best believe he deserves this years.  I understand the decision Merc made during the safety car, but boy was Ham pissed.  Especially when George passed him.

I knew Ham was a sitting duck on medium tires when everyone else had softs.

You think Merc would have learned that using last year's last race.  You know the one that cost Lewis the championship.

I can't say I was upset to see Russel finish ahead of Ham.

And Elff is right Ferrari is like an Illinois sports team continuously finding new ways to fail.  The great ones make it look easy.  Oh and get your damn impact wrench out of the way.

Now I got to watch Monza.

I'm all caught up.  Now just waiting for the break to be over.

How's everyone doing?  Anything fun?

I think Aimee and I are going to go to Vegas for F1 2023.  Nothing solid yet, but we're both interested.

I watched Monza this weekend, not much to comment on.

This season has not been one that has captured my interest much.  Truth be told if this was the first season I watched I probably wouldn't continue watching.

There have been some good racing with these new cars, a lot more than in previous years and not all in mid-pack

That was one hell of a solid race from Perez.   I hope they don't take it away from him.

Due to Hamilton acting like the Lebron James of F1, I was hoping he wouldn't be in the points at all.  He acts like he is above the Sport.

Give me a break.   You can remove a piercing with no issues after it has fully healed.

Mclaren had a great day and Ricciardo's best result in a loooooong Time.  There was some good passing under some very tricky wet conditions.  Verstappen fought really hard to ultimately only improve by 1 place. He still has over 100 points to spare and will probably clinch the series next race.

Announcers mentioned Hulkenburg possibly replacing Schumacher next year at Haas.  I would love to see that.

Yes Perez owned the track, the day and all the competitors.  Some good driving on a wet drying track.

Just finished watching Singapore, well minus the last 5 min because even setting my DVR to record an extra hour didn't prevent what happens when the FIA can't figure out how not to start a race because of rain.  Now the DVR is extended 1.5 hours.  I have missed the end of more races this season then I have for the prior 5 years combined.

Perez kept the win even after the penalty.

Good results for Mclaren.

Wasn't upset Ham hosed himself.  Would any other driver get away with this nose ring crap?

Now you are only a week behind, and just so you know it rained Friday and everything was delayed.  May or may not rain Sunday.  I have the Betamax set to 2 hours longer than the show this year.

Japan quick recap to save you some time:

Grid start on inters
Ferrari off the track on 1st lap
Safety car on track lap 2 - no points available yet
race stopped
2 hours talking about a safety vehicle being on track while the race cars are going around behind the safety car and Gasly is at speed trying to catch up after hitting an advertisement sign
restart behind the safety car on full rains.
those in the front say it is fine
those in the back say we can't see anything
stay tuned

Yeah that race is not much to talk about.

How come the safety car has flashing lights, all the cars have flashing lights but the equipment to maintain the track or remove wrecks doesn't?
