Probably the best sprint race since they started and not just because Merc passed RB.

After yesterday, I was not sure if the race would be as good, and it was even better.  That was a very exciting race.
Lots of bumping, loads of passing.
Huge Congrats to Russel for his first win.  That was also a hell of a drive by Lewis to take second.

Can someone explain to me what happened with Verstappen?  I thought him and Perez were on good terms?

So did I but something must have happened.  I expect the team principle will be having a long chat with him.   Lewis seemed very pleased for Russell and his first win.  During one of the restarts I think it was George who asked if he was to give up his spot to Lewis (not in those exact words) and the answer was 'you are free to race, just keep it clean.'

Yea, I really think Lewis was sincerely happy for George.
He also seemed thrilled with a 1-2 after a very difficult season.

Great race!!!!!

I love that Merc is back in the mix.
I love that Russel got his first win.
It was great watching Hamilton move back up thru the field

I?m not a VER fan. And he did nothing to change that today.

I like a Vettle more now than I did a few years ago and I hope somehow he comes back next year in a good car.

Going to be lots of jokes about Toto staying away for more races.

LeClerc- if you want 3rd ~ go get it. I get you were put in the wall. But Sainz drove a good race. You can?t ask him to give up a podium.

Sprint Race was great. I?m good with more of those. It was so good to see the joy from HAAS getting pole for sprint. Too bad for KMag he got knocked out early.

F1 needs more like this.

Trouble is very few tracks are built like this and do not allow for the sprint race to be exciting.

So, what are options for streaming F1?

Got to watch a little earlier this year, and I'm curious. Definitely not what it was 5 years ago or so. But, I have no cable subscription, so if I can't stream it I won't watch it. (Says this diehard O's fan, who can't stream even a single game due to licensing rules...)

2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. 3.6, manual trans.

And Max still isn't repenting over the Perez incident.  Quoted as saying " I have my reasons, I have told him and no one else needs to know "  or words to that affect/effect?

That was the best sprint race so far.  Still not a fan of the sprint race though.

Max is a selfish ass. I would have loved to see his pit crew hose him like they used to do to Richardo and cost him the win today just to show him what team work is or isn't.  I guess in the end it didn't matter but that kind of dick move can come back to haunt him.

Russel finished ahead of Ham for the season.

Did his selfish move cost Checo second in the driver's championship?

The points Checo lost in Brazil did not factor in the final outcome of the season.  Perez needed to finish ahead of LeClerc in the race in order to get second place, so he ended up third overall.

Pretty decent season. Looking forward to next year. Hoping for solid competition between big 3? and solid mid pack fighting.

Aston not Alpha.

Red Bull looks strong.

Merc still has it wrong.

Ferrari potentially still has a questionable power train.

Aston could be a #2 or 3 team this year.

Aston finishing top 3 would be amazing. I think  Ferrari and Merc will get things sorted and have better driver pairs. Alonso is really good, but Stroll is not as good as either other #2 driver.

I think Merc and Ferrari have no clear #1 drivers. That may make it really tough in close races and issuing team orders. It will end up with two teammates crashing and the team getting no points.

The after race penalty and then repeal for Alonso was a bit odd.

Ham and his trainer parted ways, I wonder what the real story there is.

Ferrari is going to have a difficult season if they are already using up allotments for spares this early.

I find it interesting that Ham is not doing as well as Russel in the same car.

It is going to be an interesting season.  It "seems" Checo was told he had fast lap and to maintain a certain speed.  "It" was assumed his team mate was told the same thing.  But that didn't happen as his team mate got fastest lap and the extra point to maintain first place in the  standings.   Checo is not happy about that.  George is a driver to watch.
