Plant tour at a General Motors plant near you
« on: August 01, 2011, 07:15:43 PM »
I should have posted this a short while ago as a few dates have passed but if you see a GM plant near you on this list that you would like to tour, go to this link and register. You will NOT be allowed to go on the tour if you don't register in advance. Most plants are having a car show along with the tour of the plant. Get in the car show and you might win!

The car show and plant tour in St. Catharines at the powertrain plant is this Friday the 5th.

DON'T FORGET TO REGISTER IF YOU WANT TO GO ON THE TOUR!
Just trying to do my part...

Mods: Lose the chicklets, VentureShield, Dual horns, AfterShock spoiler, Weathershield cover, Lil Chromies, Red calipers with black Solstice stickers, Opel GT antenna and Solo GXP-RCD exhaust with a Solo hi-flow cat!

I went on a tour of the Fairfax plant back in 2005, when they were building the Malibu and new Aura there. That was amazing and definitely worth it.

There was one for the Electric Motor plant in Baltimore, but it was last May.  Darn it.

Woohoo, two in my town  :yay:  If they have car shows I'm tempted to go and place a
:poke: "Hey GM, you F up" on the windshield.   I remember when I worked at GM (a loooongggg time ago) and they'd had these tours and you feel like you're the monkey everyone stops to stare at.   One year my wife came and after she left a co-worker came up to me and said; How did you get that stripper to come and talk to you?  I looked at him and said; That's no stripper, that's my wife you dumbass.  Of course I was thinking...Huh, I am working nights, maybe she does have a part time job I don't know about...

the plant closest to me
is now closed.

It was the Wilmington Plant in Delaware where our cars were made.

I was lucky enough to be able to be at the plant for 3 out of the 4
events that were held there.
