What the hell is an eqyptian?  Google doesn't have any hits on that it defaults to Egyptian.

Even tho the Asheville Crown Plaza has wall current, there will be a back up generator just in case we lose current  :D

Thanks for thinking of Tristie and I, Duck! ;)

Anyway, I agree with Shiny...3-4 hrs for a run.  People want to come back and hang out.  The long runs get tiring over the course of the event.  I know you have fantastic roads in that area, so I can't wait!!

Throw in some stupid stuff that we had planned...it'll kinda seems impromptu, but not...like a Bags tournament, or Beer Pong, or something.  Kinda like what Stuart and I are working on.  People who want to drink can, people that won't can make fun of those of us that will.

As long as we have some props to work with, someplace we can buy booze for cheap nearby, and fridges in the rooms...or access to some fridges where we can keep stuff cold, we'll entertain ourselves.

Cash bar or the inclusive bar option for those that want it are always good.  But as was mentioned...it needs to be optional so non-drinkers don't have to pay for drinkers.

Oh yeah...and like Dengel said...a place to go where we won't get kicked out or reprimaneded multiple times by hotel management.  Oops!  At least I don't have to sign the waiver anymore saying I won't have a party in my room!

Preferably...the above should be within walking distance of the hotel.  Because no one should be out drinking and driving.

At 2010 Nationals some people got together and rented a van w/driver that way no one had to drive.

Sam's Club is next door for some bargains.

The long run in Austin was by request, folks wanted to run the 'Sisters'....I did not hear any complaints...You could classify it as the Texas Dragon.

The Harris Hill Race Track was also an all day affair, only complaint was that Fridays reservation had been cancelled and folks could not run both days.  BTW, it was a HOOT!

Perhaps the Crown can use some strategic room placement to ward off the noisy & rowdy complaints?  :worms:  I plan on using my Priority chit to get the quiet floor.  :usa:

We have the Summer Solstice 2012 blocked on the dance cards, can't wait to see everyone again. I've enjoyed the N.C roads B4, ran Skyline and BRP and TOTD on the way home from Mecca III.   I am certain the organizers will have some nifty ones for us next year.

Depending on the turnout, the two story wing could be all ours  :tool:

We have the pool to ourselves for the Luau.

The only run for Saturday is to Biltmore House to catch the best light for the group picture at 7:30 AM

Saturday is planned as a fun day aka Bangles. I have them on vinyl an I ain't luggin the record player up there  :sorry:
The on property drive in movie is booked for Saturday night.

Your event concierge will arrange for group transportation  :ghug:

As far as LEO is concerned, I hope to arrange a DWI course for Saturday with film at 6   :slap:
I also hope we can get a State Trooper with the seat belt crash simulator for Saturday  :pop:

We want to keep groups small with a lot of runs that are are anywhere for 2 hours to around 6 but not much more.
We are limited in group size we can have on the BRP. More about that later.
The runs we have picked are intense and on one, I counted more curves per mile than the Dragon and gave up after 151 curves before the old fish hatchery  :barf2:

I have some other personalities in mind as speaker's, but will certainly consider the poll and your responses. Keep up the comments and suggestions as I read them all when I can

We hope to have some live music at the fire pit but this does not preclude impromptu jam sessions, so if you want to bring what ever you play, do so  :D

We went a bit off thread, but that is ok  :gaah: so next time keep it on track  ah  where was I

Oh, track day  :worms: please don't go there right now   :buff:

She's ok but not even close to the seductive ooze of this chick whose security we guaranteed when she slept at the "Resort" back around the time the place first opened.

That glance in the "Walk like an Egyptian" video (and gentlemen of my age _know_ what I'm talking about) used to raise my heart rate every time. ... And she plays the bass!!  :D
I'd rather be driving! :D

Don't get me wrong now, she is hot

But,

I'd lay my head in Cass Elliot's lap any day, if she would sing to me.

An I always had this thing for 'large' blondes too like Mary Travers like as she got older and hotter.

Always liked Joni Mitchell's lips an I'd make out with her tomorrow  :D

Bands are expensive or they suck. My band is excellent and we never play for less than $1,000.  The best thing to do is find a place that already has a band playing that night to have your event. The cost to you will be zero in most cases.
