Yeah if a vendor came out with color matching door handles I am sure people would pay around 150$ for em.

Shush!

I'd pay $100 ;)

Althought, if they were made stronger and really decreased the chance to break then I would consider 130-150..

Did you get a chance to install the fuel pump muffler yet?  I have one and havent had a chance to try and install it yet.  Want to know your experience installing it.

If you don't want or can't find a Chevy door handle
then look for a Pontiac G-series for parts, G5, G6...
They're all the same.

Is this all I need?

These are supposed to be direct replacement 07 Cobalt SS/2.0L door handles.

I used the company car today which was a 06 Buick Lucerne and it appeared to have the same door handles as the kappas.  A four door car would have a pair of right and left side handles one with a lock and one with out all on one car.  The car at work had chrome handles so I don't know if there was a Lucerne that had the painted version but something to look into when you try and source handles from the junk yards.

For those looking for something that will not break, keep an eye on Rich's next project. If he can fabricate the Stock handles that are on the way to him as we speak (thanks to one of the members here), you will be able to paint his as well.

Is he going to be able to paint it for us for an extra charge?

I would have to guess at this point... My best guess though is that they would be made available primered shipped to you ready to paint. Too many issues with trying to get paint to match what is on your car. Better off handled locally by a body shop of your chosing.

From what I hear, Polished Color Matched Anodizing might be an option. More details when and if the project can happen.

My neighbor bought a new Vibe the other day. Looks like it has the same door handles as the Solstice as well.

the issue w/ the keyholes is regardless of whether you want them or not, the LOCKS themselves are still there.

Like he said and because batteries fail and you would be locked out, mine are done and I LOVE the new look. Very surprising how much it changes the car.

yo essay ju got it meng, actually they are both yellow, would have doubled the paint price to do them in black and yellow. On the black cars it just looks like it always should have been that way, on my yellow car when you look at it it's more like "what's wrong with this picture" I think it looks much better than the chrome but you definitely notice it, but it doesn't quite register as what's different.

i just got a set from Cheers/Bio and they look like we can make just the section that breaks. it would be out of aluminum, your body guy will primer it just like the plastic. you would use the guts out of your current handle and be a fairly quick swap. the plus side is you can paint your handles and know that they WONT break ANYMORE. let me know if you are interested and we can dig deeper into time & $$. thanks again to Cheers and Bio.

Sounds cool. I actually want to paint them black, and don't mind the shape of the stock handle. I just don't want them to break. A retrofit sounds like a good compromise to a set of fully machined handles
