No update yet from the weasels at PT/AW, but discovered what my driver side window is rubbing against since the door handle install!
Interesting 'feature', put the window down and if you're parked, or door unlocked, it opens the door! Saweet  except it only opens the door when the window goes down, doesn't close it when you roll up the window  :gaah:

Good news, they now have apparently pulled all the incorrect handles from inventory, or relabeled correctly, they issued a credit for the 3rd order from me, and an RMA to return the two wrong handles. The right handle, literally and figuratively is enroute from GM Parts Direct, just have to paint it, so probably paint the one extra left handle at the same time, so both handles match

Also need to correct the window opening conflict with the door cable.

2008, Pontiac, Solstice, GXP > Door Handles

Replacement Front, driver side, exterior Door Handle - Chrome
For 2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP 4 Cyl 2.0L

That's the only one that I see come up.  No Black handles,no passenger handles, and they dont have the key hole.

Did you guys search under cobalt ?  Cuz I just searched under cobalt and it only shows chrome handles.

TRY marching through it: 2007, Chevrolet, Cobalt, LS, Door Handles

That way you get the black units.

Good luck

Awesome, that worked. I tried looking under 2008 cobalt ss, 2008 gxp, 2007 gxp and couldnt find the black ones.  2007 cobalt LS worked :)

EDIT: Actually, the front driver side handle doesnt specify that it has a key hole..

Thanks to Cheers and DeepBlueGXP for this old but still instructive thread. Replaced my driver's side handle this morning. Very little sweat, just tried to lose one clip. :)

Good to be able to use the forum's knowledge base to save time and money on my car!
