While searching for parts for a repair project I am doing I came upon this large cache of body parts. These parts are located in Ypsilanti Mi, just west of Detroit. I visited there this past Monday to pick up a Sky hood and was overwhelmed by the number of body parts they had. I must stress that body parts are ALL they have. These are factory finished parts that contain no hardware or glass. They came from the Wilmington plant and were items from the paint room that were to be moved to the assembly line. They have virtually all colors especially the 08 and 09's. This is a warehouse so they have a small staff. I would recommend that you email Barb at this address barb@cascocompany.net as she is kind of a one women band here and her many duties make it hard to reach her by phone but she will respond to your emails. Please be patient and give her time as I said she is a busy girl. She has also posted a YouTube video http://youtu.be/W33-MvqnQOE. They are looking for a buyer for all of these parts so they may not be here forever. They will ship but be mindful that some of these items are large and shipping can be expensive for long distances. It doesn't appear so Melissa. If you go to the domain name that is in the email address (cascocompany.net) there's nothing there.
I would think that if she had one she would have mentioned it in the YouTube video.

Nice find, sounds like something Source One (formerly ICS) in Kalamazoo, MI might want to check into. I watched a Sol hood on Evilbay go unsold for $200 several weeks ago.

Hi,
I ordered two fenders in yellow and received them today. They look great, have some minor scuffs that will buff out. But they don't look like they have clear coat?

May need to take it to shop to get clear coat painted?

Anyone know how I could tell or if you bought from them, did you have a clear coat?

They aren't shiny? Waterborne paint without a clear coat looks absolutely horrific as you can see in this video. It would have no gloss at all.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the video. Yes, it is shiny so I guess it has the clear coat. It's just that the reflection in the paint isn't "sharp". It has some ripples... nothing bad and pretty much the same as the rest of the car. And I noticed some "bird-eyes"... these are tiny spots where the paint dimples.

I tried compound and a coat of wax. But I'm still not sure.

I picked up a hood and it was perfect. I was there at the warehouse I didn't see anything that was not clear coated as all of their stuff was headed for the assembly line.

I've called and called can't get anyone to answer and can't leave a message because the "mailbox is full". Tried the email address and came back as undeliverable. Probably sold out everything? If not they sure don't know of an easy way of doing business.

I believe I found this same pile of parts listed on ebay. I just purchased a fender. Prices are a little higher than in September.

That sucks that they are more expensive but I guess as the parts get rarer they'll only get even more so.

Call and bargain with them. I called about a door panel and easily talked them down the cost of shipping. Then they lowered the shipping price if I shipped to a loading dock. Ended up going another direction, but not because of them.

Both addresses are in Ypsilanti Mi but different places. I talked to the owner of the stuff on eBay he said they bought a lot of the stock from Barb. Sourceone also purchased from her. He will negotiate if you call or email him.
