Knocking and banging in the rear....
« on: October 15, 2011, 12:37:06 PM »
All joking aside because of that title, Ive narrowed down all of my squeaky/rattle noises to the doors and back panels. Those are the easy fixes. The only ones that are annoying as all hell deal with, im guessing, are buttress latches and the trunk latches. Going slow, <15mph over rough roads or bumps, there is always banging and knocking comming from back there. Its not suspension related because whenever the top is down, there is no noise. Can also bacng on the buttress where it clips into the trunklid and it makes similar noises I hear when inside the car. I can deal with squeaks and rattles, but the noises comming from back there make me feel like this car is a piece of garbage everytime it happens. Anyone have similar issues or possible fixes?

ophidia, try treating the weatherstrips of the doors and the trunk with Gummi Pflege
