DTC U0073
« on: November 21, 2011, 03:17:35 PM »
Anyone seen this one yet?  My check engine light came on today.  Pulled the code w/ my DashDAQ, and this was it.  "Control module communication bus A off"

I cleared the code and drove it home.  No other DTCs were set or pending.  I'll post in this thread again if anything becomes of it... just curious if anyone else has seen this one before...

From the world wide web (a Saturn site)

A U0073 isn't just a BCM code. Almost any of the vehicles systems can cause it.

The manual says the following modules can set a U0073:

BCM, DRR, EBCM, ECM, HVAC IPC, PSCM, Radio, RCDLR, RSA, SDM, TCM, TDM, and VCIM.

Could be somethig as simple as a loose electrical connector, low voltage situation, blown fuse or complete failure of one of the modules.

Gonna need a GM TEC2 to figure this one out.

not going to lie, but now that I have HPT, I dont even worry about codes until they set a few times and consistently return under the same conditions.

Hasn't set a CEL again, so I'm not worrying about it for now...
